As someone who goes to rutgers, I feel like I have the responsibility to give my opinion.
In general, Imus has always been all about the inappropriateness and controversy. He has said many bad things about many people. What angers me is that this is the particular thing that he did that got him fired. Yes, what he said was most definitely wrong and he no right to say something so racist and sexist. However, the fact that this has become a race thing angers me. I am by no means racist and am in fact quite anti-racism, but when someone gets in trouble for using a term that a particular group using amongst themselves, I think thats wrong.
He said it, didnt regret it, yes that should get him fired.
The fact that it has become a huge media circus, thats not cool.... We need to stop throwing the race card out there.
