Thank you Elegant!

Shontay if #40 works then go for it. You're right, this is some voodoo powder because when Lisa Eldridge used #20 I was thinking to myself: "Okay, clearly I have lost my mind because Lisa is pale as all get out." But it works on me too! This powder is insane.

And it give a 'glow' without shimmer. I know that makes NO SENSE AT ALL. But it does. I'm not shimmery at all when I wear it. I just have this glowy look that is just wonderful. And it doesn't bother my oily skin, and does NOT settle into my parentheses.

It definitely does give a glow. I noticed that even with #60 yesterday. I love that. It almost eliminates any need for a liquid or powder highlighter. I'm almost certain I will end up with #30 because I absolutely trust what you say. I'm sure that when I buy it, apply it to the center of my face (with #40 on the outer edges of my face) I will see the difference. Now, if only I can get over the thought of paying for another one.

So what's up with #50, ya'll? Everyone is saying it's gray, but I kinda wanna test that one too

These powders are SO versatile, and more than one shade can work, but I want to make sure I have the absolute right one!

Is there too much yellow in #50? Idk. I swatched it quickly, but I didn't blend it in; and like others have said, hand swatches are NOT adequate for this powder!

So, there you have it. I caved and got the powder in #10, thanks to the pink in it it should work on me. Fingers crossed my skin likes it to. And I seriously hope that it makes my skin look gorgeous, it better :getyou::haha:

Girl I just squeezed my eyes shut and did it because I KNEW that I would go back for #20!

Warmer skin tones are different. We're RARELY one shade. The best way to bring out all of the dimensions and features in our faces is with multiple colors. That's why I go so light on concealer (we won't even DISCUSS the altercation I had with a NARS makeup artist over the concealer in Ginger. This fool kept trying to swap my stuff out for Caramel. I almost came across that counter) because the center of my face is literally a full shade lighter than the perimeter.

I can't believe how incredible these powders are. I got to see them/play with them in person at Macy's yesterday. Just stunning. All of them.

I got #20 and #30. They did exactly what I thought they would:

I wanted a base powder, not a bronzing one. After I watched Lisa Eldridge use the powder as a base, I knew that's precisely what I wanted it for. No foundation... just the powder. I wanted to see just how 'effortless' this powder could make me look. It works... incredibly well. Are these permanent? I may need to get more...
Wow your skin looks flawless! You made a great choice by going with the lighter shades I really like how it highlights the center of you face

.

I agree with you all about the smell. When the MUA was putting it on me I thought she was wearing a perfume that smelled amazing then I realized it was the powder.

I just called another Macy's close by the restaurant I'll be having dinner at tonight and they have it in stock

Looks like it'll be traveling with me to Alaska this week!

This product looks so amazing on everyone! Everyone's skin appears to be glowing. I started with #10 and plan to try a few more shades.

Just a heads up: I checked my account on Chanel.com and saw that this powder was going to be replenished every 30 days. I don't know how this happened, since I did not choose that option. I hope to get this straightened out asap. Definitely check your orders to see if somehow replenishment was added when you didn't want it. I think that Chanel's site/computers were acting up for a bit.

I am going to call them & ask to make the smell into a perfume...& it better be exact to the powder. Maybe I could suggest they call it Ode de Elegante
girlhaha.gif
or does that mean elegant's odor

On the replenishment - it may not be the case. Mine said replenish every 30 days, but if you click the order link that says 'Replenish' - it will say that there are no scheduled replenishments for this product. Chanel said that their tech people did it that way to be able to do a 'pre-order'

Oh & they ARE making a perfume!!!!!!!! WOOT! She said its supposed to smell like their product. I said it better smell like this powder & nothin else

Took another look (and hopefully final!) at the Les Beiges powders, really tested and played with 50, 60 and 70 and determined that 60 is the best overall shade... the undertone is kinda pink but it truly is so subtle that it doesn't make my face appear red at all. 70 definitely a bit too dark; the SA and I applied it to various places on my face and inner arm and it was clear to us (got 3 different opinions) that I could use it for warmth/bronzing, rather than all over the face. 50 is such an enigma...the undertones for that shade is what REALLY throws me off. Even compared side by side to the other powders, it has less 'color' to it... it's like a cool grayish brown in a way. #20 and #30 appeared to have more warmth/color than #50 even though they're lighter (I wonder if that makes sense?) I could blend it to work, and it would work in the winter, but not year round.

Now to decide if I should keep #70 as a bronzer? I have a Guerlain 4 seasons bronzer that is just 'meh' to me.

And once again, I absolutely ADORE my marshmallow brush.
