yesterday i was at mac for three hours. just curious, but is this normal? does anyone else spend hours upon hours in the mac store just chatting it up with MAs about everything under the sun? we played with pigments and made lipgloss....and put shadows over shadesticks...and gloss over lipstick....and cried about the items that they have to send back...

ps, i bought crimsonaire shadestick and that blue zoomlash mascara.

i've never timed it... after while i get dirty looks from MA's like buy something already! or i have to remember my burning questions, cuz if i ask too many the dirty looks are shot at me again for holding them up from making sales...

i always buy something at the end... and even then some MA's would say.. this is all you're getting?

I've never spent that long in the store. Usually I have a good idea of what I need....I may play around with a few things, but I'm out of there pretty quickly. Plus, no need to surround myself with soo many things I want, but can't get

it depends on what exactly you are talking about. if you are just talking about makeup and playing with the makeup, then yes, but if you are just playing with the makeup and also shopping but talking about non-makeup things than i dont think you could spend 3 hours in a makeup store. i probably could do that at my local department store just in the cosmetics area alone, because i am good friends with alot of the girls at the different counters.

the longest i spent was an hour and a half when barbie came out. My MA, Ryan, we spent and hour talking about everything from makeup to great gay night clubs. 30 minutes was spent doing my makeup.

I think the longest for me was an hour and a half. I got a macover and bought a few things. I usually know what I want when I go in so i'm in and out quick lol.

I spend 10-15min max if the store's busy and 30min max otherwise. I usually look at the swatches or comments here at Specktra first then I make a budget & a list and try to stick with that. This makes it easy for me and the MA helping me that day!

I spent about 3 hours once...BUT I was doing a makeup lesson from MAC (Paid $100).
Usually they kind of rush you in and out.
I use specktra for my questions and ideas.

The first few times I went to a freestanding it was about an hour and a half because I never had the chance to see anything in person before, now if I visit it, it's like 30-45 minutes since I pretty much just come for new collections and have seen most perm. items by now. Any less than that though and it's a waste driving an hour and a half there.

About an hour fifteen minutes when I was doing a makeover and chatting with my MA afterwards. Normal trips will be about twenty minutes or so, when I play with all the new stuff.

you aren't a freak...i probably would be the same way if some of the specktra members worked at my MAC... we could talk all day! i do spend a whole lot of time though at the counters.. 1/3 swatching, 1/3 asking questions and 1/3 watching the ma's apply makeup to other people.

uhh that's unless i'm at the 'OTHER' counters with the mean ma's that'll shoot me the angry looks lol
