MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection (May 22, 2014)

I have a quick question. Some have been talking about the size of the Eyeshadows for the extra dimension products. Are the minis smaller than regular shadows? I do not own any of these types of products.

Here you go... The EDES have been released in 2 sizes (bottom 2 in this pic). The large are the same size as large shadows, Mineralize shadows and pressed pigments. The small are the same size as the regular shadows.

Sometimes I want to smack the people at MAC. They seem to have people that don't know what a lavender, lilac, purple, blue violet, orchid, amethyst, grape or anything purpley really is. Use a color chart MAC!!!!!!!

Oh so true. 90% of their purples are pink. Is it really so hard for me to get that true lavender lipstick, eyeshadow, etc that I'm dying for?

Oh, this is going to be my big buy this summer. I love dark neutral shades. Has anyone here been a MAC fan long enough to remember the chrome collection? There was a dark bronze in that one that I just LOVE. I still have it, even though it's probably 8 years old. I can't bring myself to B2M it. But if I got something similar I could. Also, what is the best way to apply the ED products. I feel like a brush doesn't pick it up that well, but I hate to use my fingers.

As much as I love this packaging, I only like it when it's solid - not when it has a little window. Then it just looks…wrong. There are no water drops on the clear part. Pah - I'm a purist. Failure.

I'll get whatever bronzer MAC Guy thinks will look reasonable on my colouring. He's never steered me wrong yet.

Perhaps one lippie, but not if they're mattes or satins. I just don't like those anymore (other than red and I already have enough of those).

I remember the collection that had all the metallics. wasnt it called rush metal? i got molten sol liquid eyeliner from that one i believe! and i use my makeup that is that old as long as it looks and smells ok you should be ok!!! and for my edes i use the mac 239 it works great over a paint pot or shadow primer!!!!

Ive just realized how up my alley those eyeshadows are.. I want 4-5/6...
so thats 2-3 bronzers (atleast one backup), 1 blush, 2 lipsticks, 1 lipglass? & 1 blush.
thats insane. I dont think ive purchased that much from one collection since Riri Fall Release !! =O

Ugh, I think I want several things from what I have seen. Should be fine since I have only bought 1 thing this month, might not buy anything in April, and am only interested in this collection til May or June. I love the ED formula and this packaging, so hopefully swatches will help me decide later.

Jan: nothing
Feb: only the 2 Fluidlines from Fantasy of Flowers
March: nothing
April: i won't be so virtuous: 2 blushes from P-S, yellow lipstick from Playland, 3 three-D glitters, but that's not soooo bad...
May: totally skipping Maleficent cuz of boring re-promos
And then there's THIS!

Fortunately:
I can easily skip the nail lacquers - i have plenty.
I can easily skip the blushes - i have too many and these don't look radically different from others.

If the duo-fibre brushes are those from previous release, well, i have them and the LE ones are usually crappy anyway, although the handles are beauties.

The eyeliner pencils and the lipliner pencils are probably skips, too.
I want to skip all the Lipglasses, 'cuz i rarely wear them, but that purple plummy Modern Lure is alluring.

I want one lipstick... probably Pet Me Please, which was in the Fabulous Felines - Burmese Beauty collection. While Goddess of the Sea is an enticing name, the color looks like many other MAC purple lipsticks and isn't blue enough for my taste.

In a promo pic, the EDSF is two-toned and a very neutral color - if that's true, it's coming home with me.

But I am still scuppered, i am sunk. Low Buy bye-bye.

The compact, the COMPACT - yeah, yeah, bronzer and i don't wear bronzer, but the C O M P A C T !!!


And, OMG, all of your eyeshadow are belong to us!!! [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_your_base_are_belong_to_us ] Well, i may skip one of the dark ones, but if they look anything like the promo pictures, i am doooooomed...

Thanks, Kristen. I'll try that brush. The chrome collection might have been just lip gloss. That's all that I bought from it, anyhow. The caps are chrome on them. I have a color called Sun that is just gorgeous. Bi think it came out in 2005 or 2006. Anyhow, this collection looks great. I'll be getting lippies, glosses, EDSF, eyeshadows and maybe blush and bronzed, too. I'd better start saving my money now!

I have four of the chromeglasses!!!!! I love them so much!! were they called chromeglass? and the 239 mac brush is my holy grail eyeshadow brush its amazing
