I got Sky Line delivered yesterday. It's a very pretty ice blue. I think you'll like it.
Let me know how it applies please. I really like Chanel polishes and have ahem a few but I heard this one applied brush strokey. I have a Chanel event this Saturday and am going to shop shop shop. I expect they will be fully stocked due to event and if they are not my gal will hook me up. I swear she is really sweet and ummm calls me to do lunch. My husband thinks that is weird but we have both lived in the same cities Miami and NY so we commiserate about St Louis and lack of coastal waters.

I noticed I need to smooth out the brushstrokes when I swatched it, so I guess that makes it a bit streaky. But I was applying quickly just to see the color. Two coats should make it opaque.

YR is back. Weird lol. I wonder if something got screwed up on MAC's end. I am really curious to see swatches of this lippie.

I'm wearing YR right now. I like it. First, the application is easy. It's smooth, creamy and opaque. I used Mac Prep+Prime, but I'm pretty sure application would be breezy without it, too. As for the color, it's...nice. It's not the terribly unique color I was hoping for. Who the hell said anything about grey being in this? Deep plum cream is how it's described on the site and that's spot on, in my opinion. It's great for Fall and especially great for women of color. No backups for me.

Good, didn't really want a greyish looking purple. A picture would be awesome if you don't mind...and if you can!

but..I wanted a greyish looking purple. :crybaby: I tried a pic, but I just couldn't capture it. In the pictures it came out too light. I might try again.

In the pictures of the lipstick on a sheet of paper it appeared to have a bit of gray. Albeit a little but I could see a touch of gray.
When I first put it on, I was looking so hard and so close that I thought I could see it, but if I have to look that hard it's probably not there. Bummer, but at least it's still a good product. Maybe it'll read as more grey on someone else and I'm just the unlucky one.

Do you have the Lipmix in Black? If so, mix a tiny drop with YR. It should do the trick to add a hint of grey.
No, I don't have that. Funny thing is the last time I was at the pro store (which was awhile I go), I thought about hauling that. Do you think a black gloss would work?

It's quite possible. I haven't tried that, but color-wise, it should work. Let us know.

Otherwise just get the lipmix. Black is the one that I use the most often for a variety of lippies.

Yay package coming tomorrow! I'm so curious how this will look in person and I can't wait to try Ruffian Gold with YP!
