this is so dumb and not cool of mac. not cool at all. i say we all boycott them. well, not totally.
but buy a lot less than we initially intended to. i know i am. coz i'm super pissed now. how i wish all of us could just march right to the HQ of mac and start demanding answers.

Got that 25% Off email this morning...Be Superfine in 09 with 25% off...
I keep looking at the emphasis on not valid after 1/8/09
I guess I am not sad because in my HEAD I feel like MAC would never offer a discount on a new collection out the gate...In my heart I wish they would due to the economy...But I won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen because my mind is set that it won't...If it does it would be a wonderful, wonderful surprise. I have always planned on getting my stuff on the 8th so for now I will just stick with Thursday...Now come Thursday if it is not out..I will then be dissapointed and ready to give them the finger ...But the wait has narrowed my list down tremendously so I am happy for that small savings

I am so stupid, I ordered 2 brushes this morning, but I just realized that the total was under $60, so I was charged almost $7 for shipping, so I had to call & cancel the order
It doesn't make sense for me to save $14, but then spend $7 on shipping. So now I have to try & figure out if I want to place a re-order & add something else on to make the minimum for free shipping.
I am so stupid, I ordered 2 brushes this morning, but I just realized that the total was under $60, so I was charged almost $7 for shipping, so I had to call & cancel the order

After much thought, I am giving this whole collection a pass. I've gone through my brush collection and actually have reasonable dupes for both the 226 and the 214, and the 165 does not interest me.
I've just been doing some serious reality checking in many aspects and I have so many colour products. I am on a "no buy" and focusing on working the products that I have.
I may pick up a couple of the sundries from Hello Kitty, but otherwise, no MAC for me right now.

yeah crap...I kept changing what I had in my cart a gazillion times to get that magic number. I use/need the brushes so getting them with the discount is helpful.

I just called the pro store in NYC, where I usually shop, and they said they still had not received the whole collection, so they were not putting it out till they got everything in stock. Damn.
And they usually have the collections out at least a week before the launch.

My Macys counter and freestanding store still say they're launching Thurs too....but they were surprised when I told them about online F&F. I have a feeling online & counters/stores may all launch together on Friday, but I guess only time will tell....I hope I'm wrong. At this point between the slower shipping we've been seeing lately and the back-up that will probably occur with this F&F sale, I'm thinking those who order BBR online will not see it anytime soon!

The main reason for my order was to get the new brushes. I'm so bummed at MAC, I was really looking forward to my first big haul in over a year and first big MAC haul ever.
