just an update:
I went to the Biltmore store here in Phoenix to a.) confirm that it would be available Thursday and b.) see if they had anything that I could LOOK at (my boyfriend will be coming with me since he's paying as a gift to me

and he's not the most patient of shoppers).. The girl wouldn't even let me look? How do you girls get your MA's to hold stuff for you?

I've bought stuff from this girl several times, perhaps she doesn't remember me. I didn't expect her to let me buy anything, but I didn't want to have to make my boyfriend wait for me for an hour while I picked what I wanted (too much pressure haha!) oh well. At least I know they'll have it bright and early for me on Thursday

oh and p.s..
I randomly searched for the 217 brush on ebay and people are selling it for MORE than the MAC retail price and listing that it's "sold out at MAC!". Ridiculous!

Agreed! If I look at my finished face and I'm like, ohhh I LOOK like I contoured my cheeks, I just buff away with the 182 and all is right with the world again.

And to those considering backups: you can almost ALWAYS find stuff with GBNF, MUA, or even *gasp* ebay. Stuff hasn't been quite as rare or hard to come by as the Pleasureflushes of yesteryear. Don't stockpile if you think there could be an even better product in the future.

Yeah, whatever, I'm not buying the 25% off crap. It's just going to make MAC lose out on us because I'd rather have more money go to my BBR than spend some on perm stuff just to use a discount. Sure you "save" money, but with BBR, I don't save, so I don't want to "spend" money just to save some.

Doesn't make sense to me. For people who have used the 25% discount, they will spend less when BBR comes out. So they're just going to have a harder time selling it off thanks to this stupid sale.

Well, the only things I'm getting from the sale are items I was going to buy anyway, foundation and primer, so it actually works well for me.

I agree with the backup rule, the only thing I've ever bought a backup for was Volcanic Ash Exfoliator (I bought 3). I am still holding out hope they bring it back. Anything else, I've never run out of.

I hate to say it, but specktra has gotten more dysfunctional for me over the past 24 hours...

I disappear simply because I can't get pages to load.

sometimes specktra doesn't load at all for me and I just get an error page

The only things I regret not buying backups of are Trifle Lipglass (THE most beautiful lipglass ever, I can wear it with anything and have yet to find a suitable dupe) and Lightscapade. Both of them are almost gone for me.. :/ I doubt I'll buy backups of anything in BBR though simply because I'm a poor college student

I just called my local counter and they said it's coming out Friday. Actually, the first girl I talked to said it was coming out Friday AND Saturday...wtf? But the next one confirmed Friday.

After seeing that vid, the lippies are looking pretty damn enticing- I just called my counter and they accept depots so I'm going be a busy beaver this week! I will get maybe 2 lippies, which ones I don't know...

Still a little p.o.'d about the f&f sale but I am definitely going to stock up on some perm items that I've been wanting- it makes sense to use the 25% off while I have it instead of paying full price later..
