MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion

When I watch award shows the dresses come second to the makeup. I wish that when they asked, "What are you wearing?" that the stars would tell us what makeup they have on.

Hayden's makeup looked gorgeous!

How similar is the Redhead MSF to Porcelain Pink and Glissade? If I have both, do I really need the Redhead MSF?

I honestly don't think the Redhead is very similar to any of them...But IMO ...It's not pink at all....

ugh i've been going through Specktra withdrawl! I can't get on through any of the computers in my house or my blackberry, only my work computer, so now that I'm back at work

I've got lots of catching up to do!

After much debating I went to MAC on Friday to get my BBR goodies. Like people have been saying i think this is a collection you need to see in person.
My MAC store was completely out of the Blonde MSF, Peroxide, Soft Wave, Top Knot, 100 Strokes & Pin Curl my MUA said they sold out around noon, keep in mind it's the Mall of America store so it's got TONS of traffic all the time but still, those babies sold fast. I'm going to have to hit the macy's counter on the way home on monday to check out the ones that were sold out.


I ended up getting:

- Brunette MSF (this is LOVE. I can't put into words how much I love it, people in the store kept stopping & just staring at me & my MUA as she was putting this on me. I wore it out Saturday night people kept telling me i was glowing)
- 165 & 226 brushes (I think I'll end up getting the 214 but I wanted to get these now since they're LE. And the 165 is now my favorite brush for using with the MSF when I wearing one as a blush, it's awesome)
- Flip E/S
- French Cuff E/S
- Femme Fi E/S (B2M)
- Henna (B2M)
- Blow Dry L/S (B2M) - this will be great for spring/summer!
- Chingnon L/S (B2M)
- All's Fair L/S (B2M) - so so pretty!
- Strawberry Blonde L/G (B2M)
- Quick Tease L/G (B2M) I have Jampacked & feel like its a little dark for me to wear to my office so while the two are similar this will work great for me.

Sooooooooooooo... i called the MAC store in STL on friday and michelle said she had recieved my package that morning- so i asked her to add some studio fix and another pro pallet to my B2M'd things... and she said no problem- wellllllll.... the charge hasn't been taken out of my bank account yet... so im wondering if ill be getting my package soon.... hmmmmm. I dont want to call and annoy her but i am wondering when it expect it.


esp since im getting my hair done tomorrow and i wanna play around with it!!!!!!!!!!

I love 165 for highlighting cheek bones, or setting powder under the eye, its a great size!

I also agree. The 226 is amazing. I almost didn't buy it because I have other crease brushes but I'm glad I did!

So, I kinda love French Cuff. On me it is a much prettier pink than Expensive Pink, and it really applies well with UDPP as a base. I must have gotten the good one. I have it on with Flip and 100 strokes and just love this look.

I know I'm obsessed with makeup when I am trying to guess the products that can be used to replicate looks at the GG's. I just loved all the glowy skin.

JLO dress was inappropriate, IMO, but her makeup was flawlessly glowing, even on HDTV.

Or if you're very light skinned! Myself and my fav MA who is also a good friend, are both lighter than NC15, and we are rocking the redhead MSF on a regular basis. Its a FANTASTIC msf. I can't get enough of it.

I totally forgot that whole HDTV thing...didn't it start Jan 1? I haven't noticed anything different.

And I am going to echo the utter necessity of the 226 and 165, they are perfection, in a word. I just don't understand why they are LE- gonna have to go back to get a second 226, b/c I can't imagine life w/o it now.

Ok..so I got two of the brushes (which should be in today or tomorrow) but I didn't get the 165 and now EVERYONE is raving about this brush??? So do I need it?? lol...I have the 116, 168, 227 for the purpose of using as a highlighter..etc...so I thought I could go without it..but if Everyone says its a must, I could add it to the "to buy" list...and what about Blow dry??? Do I need it? lol...My lips are quite pigmented...will that be a problem?? I hate when you put on lipstick, but can't see a difference..lol...(Like quiet, please is for me!!) For reference the two lippes I got were B-babe and What a Do!

I am not gonna say it's a must...If you had a 138 I would say NO...since it is the exact brush just smaller...But...It is a very very nice highlighting brush..Just adding I have the 138 still bought it...But I am a brush whore so my thoughts don't count much

mmm I'm still building my wishlist for this collection as its still due to come here in the UK in about 2-3 weeks time... I'm limiting myself to 4 things max from this collection as I know there will still be more amazing collections to come! So... If you could only get 4 things from this collection (MSFs + brushes included in the choices) which would you get??

Please help!
