I didn't cover those above earlier. Obviously Top Knot will be skipped for just looking black and Deep Shade is just another deep blue.

I personally love Glaze lipsticks. I have both Fun 'N' Sexy and Flash-N-Dash, and the colour payoff for me is great. It's a sheer was of a bright colour that can be built up well, and it stays on a pretty long time for me. I'm looking forward to Chignon, as it sounds like a lovely darker shade to have. As for Quick Tease, well...Jampacked sold out fast, and I figured that I could always get Pop Mode in lieu of it.

I'm lemming both Deep Shade and Top Knot because I have nothing like either of them right now. I have Beauty Marked, and love the reddish burgundy sparkle of it, so I'm hoping Top Knot is in a similar vein, or a really dark inky violet. Deep Shade is a dark blue, and I've wanted a unique dark blue in my collection for quite some time. It looks almost like a dark, navy-ish marine blue in Erine's swatches, which sounds quite nice.
Knight, Femme-Fi, and maybe Flip or Henna would be good to have too!

I agree with MAC_Fafinette. I like the lustres and glazes. Especially for a darker color when I want to wear it during the day. It's buildable so when I apply one coat, I don't look like I'm wearing something too severe to work. I also like the way that it feels like a gloss so I usually don't need to waste and extra product by putting a gloss or glaze on top of it. JMO.

^^^You, know. This is gonna sound so stupid and everyone (especially MzzRach) would kill me, but last night I was thinking about brushes and how the marketing of these is crazy.

If you only had cotton swabs (q-tips), you could still do a beautiful eye. I am also on the "brush bandwagon" because I love them. But, if you are trying to save moola, they really are not the most necessary items in the world. It would be hard to do a good eye without product, but you could still make a beautiful eye with a good product and just some q-tips or even your fingers. Just sayin'.

I love q-tips for blending creamy textures but I also love the artistic feeling when I use brushes.

I agree with what you all are saying. It was just a thought. If you HAD to pick between e/s (product) or brushes b/c of financial constraints, you can get away with making a nice eye without a new brush.

If I had to decide I would pick the e/s. Even with just a few brushes that are not even expensive you can make a pretty look.

I would pick the brush I think.
I had had many e/s before I started buying brushes, but my "great eye looks career" started with the right brushes.
Maybe I am not talented enough to work without them

Re: MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion (Hair was WN)

I'm kinda 50/50 about this whole thing. For one, I did start my collection with eyeshadows and such before I got into the MAC brushes...now I love their brushes...I try to buy lightly used/brand new through specktra if I can to help with the pricing a little..but the way I see it is product will run out, but brushes will last a LONNNNGGG time..so I see it as an investment (as I do my whole mac collection) but before MAC brushes, I just felt the brushes that I had didn't do much justice for my makeup...I dunno..maybe its all in my head, but I definitely feel they are a must to get what I want to achieve with my makeup.

P.S. Q-tips are part of my "makeup kit" lol..I rock the qtips EVERYDAY..they are like my magic eraser when I get a little to carried away!! haha..

Wow, what an interesting and intelligent discussion we've all had here regarding brushes. I'm intrigued. And, I feel like an intellectual. Let's delve deeper...

Re: MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion (Hair was WN)

haha..well I want to say it has alot to do with the ferrules of the brushes.. the actual brush stick itself ...where the heart and the soul of the brush lies..., ahem ahem..Its all quite scientific...in a molecular kinda way...Do you concur my fellow chap?
