MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

So I tried out all of the lipglasses yesterday while I was snowed in and here is my report:
Firstly, they complement the eye looks SO well. I did a nice smokey eye with Vellum, Wintersky, Arctic Grey, and a sparkly black I already had and it looked good. But then, when I applied the gloss, the whole look was amazing!!!
Secondly, one word... SNOWSCENE!!!!!! OMG I love it so much. I am going to go buy a back-up. It is gorgeous and has all of the glitter, without the gritty.
Frozen Dream and Icescape are really nice pinks, I will definitely be getting loads of wear out of them.
NAKED FROST!!! It is also gorgeous!!!! With the whole smokey eye, Naked Frost looks soooo good!
I'm glad I got all 4 lipglasses, and I do need a Snowscene back-up!

I told you you'd love the liner!! Snowscene is amazing, I got one for my gratis and kind of want a second one now. Probably my favourite winter lipgloss ever.

Also, does anyone else agree that Icescape looks like Petticoat in lipgloss form? LOVE!

I think this new liner is easier than the brush. It goes on so smooth - like an extra fine felt tip marker.

Mine doesn't smudge at all. I wouldn't mind if it did, I like a slight smudge and I kept smearing it with my finger to try and get it to do so but it wouldn't. It stays put.

I got a chance to see this today. I kind of like these small collections, but somehow I still spent more than i intended, although it was all on giftcards I was trying to save some of it for BBR... oh well.

I ended up with Wintersky, Arctic Grey and Apres Ski, which I wasn't going to get but it looked so pretty with Arctic Grey. I was quite happy with the texture of all of these.

I also ended up getting Icescape and Naked Frost lipglass. Icescape has such a pretty sheen to it. They both look like they'll work well for layering over l/s.

And finally, the pen liner. Seeing as it's not smudge-proof, I need to try this, because most liners smudge on me.

Bring on BBR!

Oh Nora, your review has me wanting to check this out. I think I may resist, then just go hog wild over BBR! Can I do it??

The only thing I was contemplating from Dame Edna was the coral lippie but now that swatch makes it appear to bright.

Hopefully Hannah can be strong and get all I want from BBR. Though the pen liner really intrigues me! I love doing a neutral eye then some black liner. The contrast just totally opens my eyes, is work appropriate and I get compliments.

Let us know what you think of the liner once you've tried wearing it!

Yeah, I'm definitely holding off on these. I'm NC30, and way too warm for this collection in my opinion. Instead of Snowscene, I think I'd want Peroxide and Live and Dye from BBR instead.

Oh no, I don't think so! I am NC 30 in summer and will wear Snowscene then for sure as well. But Peroxide is on my list, too

Wow. I think I am skipping this collection entirely. Two days since its release, and I haven't gone to see it. I even went to the mall and didn't venture into Nordstrom! Weird! I have not skipped buying from a collection since Fafi, but I know I'm going to have to tone down my spending starting January, so it's good practice now I guess.

I can beat that, lol... I was IN Nordstrom and walked by the MAC counter & didn't stop to look. Now that is being very good!!! I did order Snowscene off MAC.com though, so I'm still a little naughty

I'm here! Man, I miss my girls! I am having to keep my distance from the boards because it is so hard being tempted by all of the pretties while DH is out of work

It's been nearly 7 weeks with no luck at all, and with the holiday coming, any money that doesn't go to bills is being used for Christmas for our boys.

Being away from the boards isn't too terrible, but being away from my friends here sure is, especially when life is sucking so bad right now. I miss you guys tons and think of you daily. I hope you all have a great holiday, filled with tons of MAC goodies!

I agree that Wintersky has no dupe. At least not one that I can find. Arctic Grey is fairly similar to a NARS silver that I have, but other than that, I can't find a dupe. I haven't really investigated the rest.
