MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

For anyone who has the Chill eyeshadow, how is the color payoff?? I have heard from quite a few of you that the color payoff is blaaa...and "blaaa" is not my cup of tea, buuuttt has anyone tried applying the shadows with a little fix+ on the brush?? Did it make a difference if you did?? Someone try this out and let me know cause I'm still determined to get Arctic Grey and Wintersky.

Snowscene is very similiar to Snowgirl. I own both of them and I bought Snowscene because they don't sell SnowGirl anymore and it is a good replacement and is limited edition. Snowgirl is white with actual glitter and Snowscene is white with pink and green pearlized pigments as far as I can remember off hand since I don't have them in front of me. If you got the red lips holiday bag Snowscene is extactly like frostlite.

By the way you girls are all so beautiful and entertaining!

I have Vellum, Arctic Grey and Wintersky on today (very appropriate as it's pouring snow), and I think the color payoff is great. However, I am super super pale and I do see that these e/s may not work for anyone with any color at all. I think Arctic Grey might be OK on darker skin tones, as it is so shimmery. But Wintersky, probably not so much.

Wintersky just looks like white frost on my skin. Definitely not getting it. I'm NC30 too...

Checked out Chill for myself today and I only got two things: Arctic Grey and Wintersky. Everything else was a PASS for me. That's right...I passed on a pink gloss.

I bet none of you thought you'd ever see this day!

Anywho, Arctic Grey is a gorgeous, shimmery, dirty silver and Wintersky is a beautiful frosty, pale pink. The payoff on these is pretty great, although these are both pale colors, so you're only going to get so much color. Apres Ski was also pretty, but I have Copperplate and it looked really similar. I didn't even check out Mont Black - that shizz looked like a glitter bomb, and I already own Vellum. The glosses - not one single gloss was appealing. The pale pink one - um, ewwww. The iridescent pinky color was just not pretty at all. The rest were just blah. By far, the standouts are Arctic Grey and Wintersky.

It's very pale. Quite subtle really. That's why I like it but there is probably not enough colour payoff for you.

I'm kind of tempted to get wintersky and artic grey but I think neither really wows me enough, so I think I might pass on this collection...more for BBR! It just seems like every swatch is really dull as if there's no color in here...

And I hated snowgirl l/g with a PASSION, so I hope the snowscene or whatever it is is better than that.

Oh anyone here know, is Wintersky like Pink Source or Sunset B at all?

Thanks Meryl, see over anaylsing it, only reason I thought of it was i'm writing (for a RPG type game) and I had a character that I'm modifying I was going to name her Winter (with completely un-MAC related reasoning), and I just laughed, cuz I thought "I should just name her Winter Sky" that sounds sort of like a 'stripper' name though. But I might still just use it *feeling super goofy tonight*
