Hurray!!! Also, I will wear red lips, and if Mr Rbella wants to make fun of them, he can. I love them. I would also support you in wearing red lips.

My guy at MAC convinced me that Wintersky was nice. He swatched it on his hand (he is lighter than me) so I was like oh ok with a p/p it should be ok. Wrong.. I'm going to exchange it for something else. I knew he should've just tried it on me. It is so freakin pale on me it's ridiculous. So for you darker ladies, don't even bother. Oh and the other shades didn't nothing at all either. They are not a collection for the darker ladies.

I gave my new items a try today.

I am very very sad to report that Wintersky didn't show up much at all on me, and looked a whole lot paler than it does in the pan. I definitely think this shade is for pale complexions.

Artic Grey is gorgeous, but looked kinda poopy against my olive skin as well. I'll need to play with it more to see if I can make it work. Apres Ski however is quite nice. Nothing outstanding or unique, but a nice 'dirty' grey shade that goes on okay for a matte e/s.

As for the pen liner, the application is amazing and it is really black. So easy to make a nice thin line or build it thicker, but unfortunately it smudged a little after only four hours of wear. This one is going back.

Finally, I tried Icescape. It is such a gorgeous pale milky pink shade with a beautiful sheen, but it would've been nicer if it was a little more pigmented.

I also have to agree with the lovely ladies here... a neutral eye can be really sexy if done right.

(UGH, Snowscene?? Love it.) And the reflects transparent teal is my new favorite thing in the world! You are def missing out if you skip this!!

You know a shade is too pale when it won't show up on an NC25. Will a few things possibly be going back, then?

I'm still quite comfy with skipping this beast.

That's exactly what I liked about it! It's so pale, but with a subtle frost.

I like it so much, I'm buying a back up!

Sanayhs, you obviously know what you like and I agree, this is way too subtle for you. You're smart to skip it.

BTW.
If you guys have the cool palette from this year, SKIP WINTERSKY.
Wintersky is a dead on dupe for Bon Fete (the creamy pink color) which is better in my opinion because you can actually see the pink when you swatch it, opposed to Wintersky on me.

I find that with colours like this, I have to put it over a base.. or my olive skin kind of just eats up the colour. I ususally use the silver pain (can't remember the colour off the top off my head).

I'm an NW30 so pretty cool toned but I'm still skipping this collection. I have way too many cool toned pink and gray eyeshadows. I *might* pick up two of the lipglasses today on my way home...the key word is again *might*!!

I need to not come to this thread or the Collections pages until BBR

well I got Wintersky and Vellum today in the mail, love me some Vellum thats for sure (Im NC40) Wintersky is on the pale side, and when i swatched it it was pretty much a shimmery color that could just as well be white no pink. then i layered it over Layin Low paint pot since its a deeper pinkish color and it looked very pretty! Since I didnt have anything like it in my collection Im happy with it, but if anyone has or was expecting pink pink? skip it and save your cash for DE or BBR.

The pen liner is definitely going back. I wanted to love it, but it's not the sort of thing that I can make work if it's going to smudge. I think I may be taking Wintersky back too. But Arctic Grey is staying, I'll make it work damn it!

I will agree that the shadows are mostly for pale skin, but the Reflects Antique Gold is great on darker skin. I wore it last night over Sketch and Carbon and it was hot!!! (sorry I forgot to take a pic, next time)
