MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

All I can say is, lately nothing much wows me into purchasing (I'm on a Chanel kick lately so MAC has taken a bit of a back burner) so when I stopped at my MAC counter Thursday, I was "meh" about pretty much everything. I grabbed my Studio Fix and checked out Chill. Didn't care for any of it except for Snowscene and the new liner. What can I say about those two items? WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!

Want the perfect cat's eyes? Buy this liner! Want the most glorious shade-shifter and shiner to your lips? Buy Snowscene!

I base whether or not a new purchase stands out strictly by the comments I receive from innocent bystanders and I am not exaggerating when I tell you perfect strangers have complimented my lips with Snowscene and the BF, who could care less about makeup, loved what the liner does to my eyes. Totally two stand-out items from this collection.

I received my order and I'm not quite sure what to make of the e/s yet...I got Wintersky and Arctic Grey and really they both just provide a glow with the slightest hint of color on me. I might actually like them but I haven't quite decided! LOL The liner is very cool, but I definitely need practice with it.

OK, I placed my order last Tuesday----now UPS is saying it won't be delivered until 12/29!!!!! That is 2 weeks!!

Yesterday I wore Wintersky with Gold Stroke pigment and it looked gorgeous!! Wintersky took on a warmer cast when I paired it with something else warm.

They ran out of 41 lashes (canada anyhow e-mail said they didn't get stock) Oh well its not like I really know how to APPLY falsies anyhow. But I still will get them later on.

I just checked out the Chill collection, and I bought all the shadows, glosses and the penultimate. I totally love this collection. The shadows all work together so well and the Mont Black shadow goes on quite smoothly for a black shadow. (Plus it has little sparkles in it!) Also I got samples of the 2 glitters, and the Mont Black shadow with the Reflects Transparent Teal glitter over it, is hot!!!

The other shadow that I'll buy a backup of is Arctic Grey, it's a medium taupe with major shimmer, and there is nothing like it.

As for the lipglasses, don't miss Snowscene, it's so pretty, white frosty sparkle with different iridescent particles, fabulosity in a tube!

Oh, and I was really disappointed with the Monogram collection, I only liked the lip glosses. Very little color payoff with the Sheerspark Pressed Powders.

I got a peek at Dame Edna, love the packaging. The Wisteria Eye Trio was a way better texture than the Royal Tour Eye Trio. The lipglasses were hot.

I ended up getting the liner and snowscene lipglass. Frankly I wanted all of the shadows but I know that I wouldn't get much use out of them. I think that they would sit with a lot of my other shadows that would never get used. Plus I need to save for BBR. I know that I will get more use out of those colors anyways.

It was holiday hell at the mall today and especially at the MAC counter. But I managed to check out the collection along with Monogram. I'm sad they didn't have the penultimate to play with.

I can say the only thing I am remotely interested in is Snowscene l/g! It really like it and it reminds me of a Dazzleglass.

I still want to give the new penultimate a chance and play before I buy.

Me too! I was soooo disappointed. Good for me though. Saves me money.

I forgot to mention that these colors work well for me as I'm a NC15 or lighter. I think that wintersky and arctic grey might be to light for more pigmented skin tones. The same goes for the three glosses other than snowscene. You could layer the glosses over l/s though.

You guys are making me wanting to purchase the Chill collection but I can't. My mom told me not to order anymore MAC. DARN!!! I may have to skip the DE as well.

I think I have to be the first one at our store when Chill will be released here to get my hands on Snowscene l/g (including a backup).
