MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

I have the following l/g - so do any come close to the Chill ones (or do any from the permanent line come close?): Starlet Kiss, Lightning, Lull, Pas de Deux, Sprightly, Cherry Blossom, Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass, Like Venus Dazzleglass, Baby Sparks Dazzleglass, Pleasure Principle Dazzleglass I am most interested in Snowscene and Icescape Ok, sorry to be so long winded, but I don't even want to go see the collection and tempt myself if it's not worth it. Thanks for your help!

Audrey I didn't get any of the e/s cause i thought they were dupable & felt like I like the shadows coming out with BBR better. The one I was tempted by was Wintersky, but even though it is pretty, the swatches haven't wow'ed me. I also liked Icescape, but once again, seeing swatches made me feel like I have other similar colors already. The only thing I caved on was Snowscene & I really find it so pretty on the lips. I do believe it may be similar to one of the dazzleglassses, but I don't have the white colors to compare. It applies very nice & is not gritty on my lips at all, also it shows up well on my pigmented lips.

Audrey - I don't have my snowscene yet, but I think if you have sugarimmed your good to go for a "shimmery over anything" lippy right now!

For SURE... looking at all those options you just don't NEED it. You can get the same looks w/ your dazzleglasses IMO.

And you don't need the eyeshadow, You have enough colors that are close enough dups, if I had what you had I wouldn't buy the shadows, esp if I was on such a tight budget I just bought them for the names (I had my excuse I LIVE in the arctic so I had to have arctic grey right? but you don't need it for that!!! )

I don't know that any of this is useful but I hope it was at least encouragment!

I'd say go for the smashbox girl!

Audrey I think that you should either use the money towards the Smashbox palette (more bang for your buck) or save it for BBR. Just my opinion.

So I received my little black box in the mail today. I only ordered snowscene and the pen liner. When I pulled out snowscene I thought, "What is so freaking special about this lipglass?" Then I put it on and

it is gorgeous! I don't think that it is back up worthy but a gorgeous gloss none the less.

Plus I have enough shimmery lipglasses/dazzleglasses/reflects glitters to make lipglasses to last me a life time.

I thought that too, but when you swatch it, it's gorgeous!

I also think if you can only get one thing from this collection, go for snowscene l/g.

The only things I got from this collection were the Pen Liner, Vellum e/s (since I didn't have this yet) and Snowscene l/g.

The other shadows are too frosty for my NC42 skin, dupeable, and I already have similar colors in my palette. The l/g in this collection were pretty but very sheer. I have very pigmented lips and the colors (except for snowscene) were not unique enough to justify buying them. Snowscene l/g was the only one that stood out for me. It looks good over a pink lippie or a nude/taupe lippie or lipliner. The glitter in it gives it the "wow" factor to me!

The pen liner is to die for!! I am usually a fluidline gal. I have very oily eyelids and even eyeliner pencils make me smudge easily. But the pen liner works really well! It takes a bit getting used to, so I don't poke my eye out. But it really stays on long, and doesn't smudge or run to me! It is very black in color and it's easy to get the "winged" look from this.

Overall, I wasn't overly WOW'd by this collection. But I love the Snowscene l/g and the liner out of everything in this collection.

I want to give some love to Frozen Dream - I absolutely ADORE it! Its a gorgeous color on my (slightly more pigmented than average) lips and looks fantastic paired with a gray eye (I passed on the grays in this collection becuase I am a gray-a-holic. Have been using Smoke & Diamonds all the time!).

I am loving the Penultimate liner too - very easy to use.

Wintersky is also just beautiful, especially by itself when you need to do a quick, more natural look.

Thank you! I make them with Photoshop.

These were also my feelings..I bought Frozen Dream the other day. Someone here said that FD had a bit of purple to it-it does and it's really pretty. As for Wintersky-I wore it with Cranberry yesterday and loved it for a simple look.

Audrey, I'm lemming for the Artist's Palette also. But with BBR coming out, I'd save the $50 for it instead
