MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

So, a little over a week after getting my Chill stuff, I am still lovin it. I keep finding new ways to use Wintersky, and I am contemplating buying another Vellum.
Icescape is my 2nd favorite l/g in the collection- it looks really great on me with the smokey grey eye. Snowscene is still the love of my life, and my 2 back-ups are safely resting in their boxes LOL.
All in all, I love this collection for me and for the season. I doubt I'll wear it much in the summer, and I do not think it would work well for anyone with a medium to dark skintone. Except Snowscene, because I think you could put that over any lipstick and it would be amazing!

I'm trying so hard to resist Snowscene!
So, folks, tell me the truth: If I already have Lustrewhite and Snowgirl, do I really "need" Snowscene?
If I pass it by, will I eventually be consumed with self-loathing?

I have been sick, so I haven't wanted to try any new makeup until I felt better. I just put on Snowscene for the first time & HO-LY SHIT!!! Its so gorgeous IRL!!! I have been so good with my buying & avoided some collections completely, but this baby is amazing, I think I NEED a backup!!!

Yes, the self-loathing will consume you
th_wallbash.gif
then you'll have to buy it on ebay for a trillion dollars & then you'll really be pissed at yourself for spending so much when you could have just gotten it at retail but didn't.

Snowscene looks so pretty, like a l/g form of the glitter.

Im definitly getting it, along with reflected transparent teal, I'll be giving the shadows a miss since none of them really appeal to me and I have the dupes/perms anyway.

Im thinking of getting the penultimate eyeliner since I want to do an everyday winged eye look, how fast does it dry? I can make my hand steady enough to draw the line but I usually end up getting it on my lid straight after...

Susanne this color is going to be so beautiful on you that you'll need at least one backup of not 2 or more!

I've been wearing Snowscene every single day since I got it. I love it!!! Its one of the very few things I've actually really wanted a backup of. I love all the colors I got too (Frozen Dream, Wintersky, Vellum & Arctic Gray) so I'm definately pleased with this collection. But I find it takes some work to make Arctic Gray to work for me. I'm determined to make it work for me!

Ok, so I just finally had the "bright idea" of using my UDPP under my Arctic Gray... And it looks beautiful! That really made the difference.

God, I've been so tired this week lol.

Ok girls, I need brutal honesty. My dad gave me $50 for Christmas and forbid me to use it for bills
lol.gif
So, I am going to buy some makeup I think. Now, I am torn between a few items from the Chill collection (Dame Edna doesn't interest me) and the Smashbox Muse Artist palette. If I have enough things similar to the Chill stuff, I will get the Smashbox palette (in which I get 10 shadows and a brush for $48, as opposed to only 3 MAC things for my $50.) So, I need your help...

If I have:

Scene, French Grey, Smoke and Diamonds, Sweet Sienna Pigment - do I need Apres Ski?

Rondelle (and the rest of the Gentle Fumes Quad), Silver Fog Pigment and Electra - do I need Arctic Grey?

Pink Freeze, All Girl Pigment, Neutral Pink - do I need Wintersky?

As far as lipglass goes, pale pink and sparkle are my downfall. I am lemming Snowscene hardcore, but not sure if I should cave. I have the following l/g - so do any come close to the Chill ones (or do any from the permanent line come close?):

Starlet Kiss, Lightning, Lull, Pas de Deux, Sprightly, Cherry Blossom, Sugarrimmed Dazzleglass, Like Venus Dazzleglass, Baby Sparks Dazzleglass, Pleasure Principle Dazzleglass

I am most interested in Snowscene and Icescape

Ok, sorry to be so long winded, but I don't even want to go see the collection and tempt myself if it's not worth it. Thanks for your help!

If you're trying really hard to make smart choices, then you can get by without the shadows. Of the rest, I think you'd really like Snowscene. The rest you should save for BBR!!

I'd personally rather have a few MAC items than a Smashbox palette, but I'm not a big palette OR Smashbox fan. I agree with getting one lipglass and then something from BBR!

Audrey, good to hear you
th_hug.gif
I hope you had a good christmas.

If you had just asked me for three things from Chill I had said these three items you named
yes.gif
I think they are worth it, they are on my list as well. I know you love MAC and would say get them, but I don't know the Smashbox palette, sorry

Enjoy what you will get!

I think you should definately go with the lipglasses! You have simmilar eyeshadow shades (how many greys do we really need?), also eyeshadows get repremoted more than lip glasses
smiles.gif
. The lipglasses are the ones to go for in this collection
yes.gif
. Hope this helps.
