MAC - Chill Collection Discussion

Along with my Dame Edna haul, i picked up some Chill too.

So i got the reflects transparent teal, penultimate eyeliner and snowscene.
I skipped all the e/s, i think im too much of a make up laymen at the moment to see all the hype about them, theyre pretty but i cant understand all the fuss?

So the reflects transparent teal is absolutely gorgeous! I love it, it transforms blander shades of e/s and just totally epitomises the Chill collection look, it looks like the fake snow they used in the movie Legend.

Snowscene is also to die for, i have sugarrimmed but they are both very different. Snowscene is far more white and blue whereas sugarrimmed is more transparant and shows more pink.

I havent had a chance to try on my penultimate eyeliner, i tried it on my hand to check roughly how long it takes to dry and how easily its smudged. Its like a felt tip pen but much more precise and it definitly seems fool proof but im not sure if its going to stay put on my lids since i have oily skin.

Of course, I had to jump on the 25% off sale as soon as I got the email. From Chill, I ended up getting the Penultimate liner and Reflects Transparent Teal. The reviews all sound sooo good for the glitter so I figured, why not? And I love trying new liners. Not all the reviews are that great, but it seems like it may give me a more precise line, so for 25% off, I might as well try it. I keep thinking I should have got a Snowscene backup...

I'm sorry if this has been covered but I've not been on here as I'm recovering from ankle and foot sugery. But is there a good dupe for Wintersky e/s or is it a must? It looks so pretty. And I can't drive yet so I'll have to order and I already have quite a list for the 25% off. Thanks

Well.....Snowscene was very disappointing on me. I can def see where it would look great on unpigmented lips or on rosy pigmented lips, but mine I think must be too brown for it or something, it just looked...BAD.

I recieved my pentulimate liner last night.. I havent tried it on yet, but im going to this morning.. I did swatch it and i almost shat myself because it was BLACK BLACK BLACK...

exactly what i wanted!!!!!!!

If you have this year's Cool Eyes palette, the pink VP in that (Bon Fete) is an excellent dupe. Wintersky is quite sheer, so if you're NC/NW25 or above, you'll just get some shimmer. Really, it's only good if you're pasty pale, and even then it's not an astonishingly unique shade.

I ordered the penultimate liner and lashes from this collection yesterday..I am sooo excited for everything to come in!!! I have a feeling that I will really like the liner! But after reading these posts, I think I may also purchase the Transparant Teal....you guys make it sound like a dream!!

I love this collection! I ordered everything but Frozen Dream l/g. In fact, just ordered a second Snowscene because I lost mine. This collection is so, so pretty yet subtle. I think it's great for bridal makeup!

I wore it for the first time yesterday... it was full proof.. I never had to touch it up durring the day.... it was BLAAAAAAAAAAAACK. Ive never in my life SEEN such a black liner (but then again I was absent for feline).

I didnt wear it on the waterline (used smolder for that)... but I literally did the perfect cat I with it.

So, last night I also wore it to bed (I never wash my makeup off before bed- Ialways just wash it off in the shower the next morning- dont hate, yo.

)... I woke up this morning.

The liner was still on perfectly.

The rest of my makeup was smudged to hell like normal, but the liner was still there, holding true... I wanted to kiss it I was so impressed... noooo smudges.. just chillaxin there exactly how it looked last night.

so seriously- GO BUY THIS LINER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldnt have said it better myself. The penultimate liner is the only thing that caught my eye when I went to see this collection. I LOVE this liner. You can do the THINEST line ever or you can go thicker...and it's soooo black. I also dont have feline

which sucks but this is the blackest liner I have.

It doesnt fade at all and its really easy to use. It flows so nice too. I dont have to hardly press on it like most pen liners . I dont use it on my waterline since it is liquid liner so I dont know how long it would stay on there. Ohh also mine didnt collect gunk on it or eyeshadow residue after I was done. Im buying another one for my makeup bag because I dont want to be anywhere without it. Yea it's that good. Best of all it's a Perm item! Thanks Mac for getting it right this time. Most of my favorite Mac items are LE which sucks. So yea thats my lil review on the only thing I got from chill.

Im HATIN!! Lol...Damn you and your perfect skin!!! The odd time I don't wash my makeup off (if I pass out on my bed after drinking) lol..I usually get a zit the next day, just randomly, out of nowhere...it sucks!!! But I am soooo lazy at night I hate how I have to wash and moisturize my face, brush my teeth, etc...Well now I am sooo excited for this liner!! Hopefully mac ships my parcel soon!!! (They are sooo slow here in Canada) I should have it by the end of next week! It will be interesting to see how it compares to Feline (which I don't really wear on my lid anyways, just my waterline)

I resisted Snowscene for about a week, which is good considering that I'm both a wimp and an addict, and when I did crack and order Snowscene, it seemed like it took MAC forever to ship it.
THEN the tracking number showed that it had been delivered to a city other than the one in which I live on February 12, 2008.

After the tracking number muddle was straightened out, UPS showed that my package was scheduled for delivery on 1/7/09, which was yesterday.
It didn't come.
I checked this morning, and UPS tells me, "Your package has experienced an exception."
Now, the scheduled delivery date is 1/9/09, which is tomorrow.

When I get it, eventually, I may kiss it!

Sorry for the long rambling post; I just had to vent, and I knew you all would be the ones to understand.

We keep our fingers crossed that is arrives at the latest tomorrow. And the UPS guy will apologize and will be incredibly hot. And he will kneel down when handing over the package. And he will promise to forever deliver on time and never exception-packet you ever again.

MY SNOWSCENE ARRIVED YESTERDAY, AND

I am so glad I took everyone's advice and bought it; it is several superlatives beyond gorgeous, and is unlike anything else I've ever seen in my life!

I can't gush or rave enough ...
This makes the Dazzleglasses look like chalk dust, and I love Dazzleglasses, but Snowscene is just so much better.

snowscene is amazing. i went to mac last night specifically to pick that up since it was sold out online when i wanted to get it for the 25% off. anyways, one MA told me it was sold out because she couldnt find the tester. i was like, "well, is there any other gloss like it to hold me over until i can get the real deal?" she said snowgirl but was sold out of that too because of snowscene. lol. soooo, another MA just kinda joined in our Hello KItty conversation and she told me that they have ONE snowscene left. just one. and i about jumped up on top of her. lol.
so, i got it. YAY! and its gorgeous. omg. so amazing. i dont wanna wear it. well, i do, its just soo yummy. i'll make a swatch of it today. =]
