I think these have a lot to do with personal skin type, pore size, oily or dry, & just maybe the batches themselves vary slightly in glitter/shimmer?

So after I've had a few days to wear Color Craft lipstick I really do like it. It reminds me of a softer version of St Germain. I still don't think I'll wear this by itself, but I paired Baby Sparks over this and it the perfect light pink lip.

Oh I love cheeky bronze! Mine has lots of veining and I find it is shimmery, but I wouldn't call it a glitter bomb on my face and I was just outside, IDKWTF, I think it just boils down to personal preference. Some people like a bit of shimmer, others don't.

I can't compare it to glissade, because I don't have glissade, but I do find it about as shimmery as blonde or redhead.

Wear it for two weeks, and then if you still love it then I say defintely. It takes too long for them to come out with these darn things (MSF) for you to be hassling with paying someone else above retail.

I went back to the mac store today, and ended up with natural flare, which I didn't get the first time. But girlish romp is so purdy and the consistency is lovely (minimal fallout) , I decided to get a second one.

Somehow fresh green mix MES, eurobeat d/g, subculture l/l and ravishing l/s ended up in my bag too

131 was sold out.

Katy, did you check out the white in girlish romp? The sheen is very much like solar white (to my untrained eye). I should do a swatch or something.

If you could compare the two. I would love another color similar to solar white especially in mineralize form because I could use it wet.

Exactly. What I would suggest to someone is to try it on in the store, then go outside in the sun and look in the mirror. If you're ok with how it looks out there go back in and buy it.

Anybody that bought Natural Flare and used it, how pigmented does it show up on the eyes without having to apply wet. My MA said they worked better if you wet your brush, so just wondering. And how bad is the fallout?

OK Katy

Solar white e/s on the left, White quadrant from Girlish romp MES on the right for both photos:

Girlish romp is less finely milled and very slightly more golden swatched.

It's very pigmented when you use it dry, especially brown (dirty brown) shade. Fallout- I had minimal to none. It is more pigmented when you use a wet brush but you really don't have to, it's great on its own.

I'm lemming girlish romp

I don't find smooth merge to be like petticoat. Petticoat is more pigmented and is coral/pink on me. But sm is a more true pink and the sides can be used as a highlighter for all over the face. It is shimmery, but not too shimmery for me.

I dusted smooth merge all over my face with made with love and my sister said I looked tan.

Get it! if for no other reason than the white! I'm wearing all 4 colours today and darkened it with carbon and 100 strokes and it is lovely!

Wow Solar White and the white from Girlish Romp are super close! I might have to check this out when I go to the counter. Thanks for the swatches!

IMO, I don't think you need both.

Glissade shows up as a pinky beige on me with literally specks of glitter on my face while Cheeky Bronze is a very shimmery peachy tan. To me, Cheeky Bronze has more pigmentation, no glitter but a crap ton of shimmer. HTH!

Thanks!

I think I will probably end up getting this.

^^ Natural Flare is very pretty, but it had hella fallout...like I put a ton of loose powder under my eyes and I still had it all over. The end result was worth it--I guess

Anyone ever get a rash from a MSF? I bought Smoothe Merge last night and used it today. Tonight I have swollen red cheeks where I had applied smooth merge :'( Think it was a fluke? I use the natural MSF powder daily with no problems!

^ I have heard this has happened to many people before....But I have never gotten a rash...Just oily as heck sometimes
