Did anybody get the Improvise blush? Is it just me or does it not have good color payoff? It's supposed to be a blush, right? I don't see why I would need to use it on top of something to get it to show up. Sadly this one may be going back. The only thing I've ever returned was a Studio Fix powder that was not my correct shade. I feel too guilty to return something I've tried but didn't end up liking.

I just got Improvise and I don't think it's working for me

It is similar to Redhead MSF but I like Redhead better.

Does anyone want my Improvise blush?
Selling it for $20CAD
Or swap for a Hand-Finish backup.

I also think that the colour payoff with Improvise isn't as good as for example with Style Demon. I think it works well enough for me though.

Have you tried it with different kind of brushes? I noticed with my Eversun blush that it worked better when I tried it with a different brush (with the other brush I had to pack it on like crazy).

I hope you get Improvise work for you, it sure is a lovely colour!

^ Yes, different brushes will make a difference on the color payoff. If you want more color use a denser brush (like 109 for the most color payoff). If you want less color use a light fluffier brush like the 187 or 188 (I use these for really pigmented dark blushes like style demon or merrily). For medium color payoff, use a blush brush like the 116 or 129. Hope this helps

I'm very excited, I found a way to make Smooth Merge work for me, I used brush #138 and dipped it to the middle stripe of the MSF, of course it also took from the upper and lower colors but I felt that it took more from the middle one, anyways I used it as a highlight and I liked it (I've pretty much given up using it as a blush)

Also I was wearing a look that I copied from YouTube but wasn't happy with, So I used the lower stripe as a highlight then the upper one as the color in between the highlight and the crease color, and it looked good if I may say so myself

Now If I knew then what I know now would I buy this MSF? No because the middle stripe as a highlight is nice but nothing amazing that is worth the price for that small quantity, the other two if I wanted Mineralized eye shadow there are other options. But I'm happy now because at lest I'm going to use this MSF

Forgot to add the look I did (thanks to DRBrooklyn730 & petrilude who I copied a couple of stuff from):
Mango Mix as a primer on the lid, Sketch on the lid (#239), Seedling in the crease (#224), the lower stripe from SM to highlight (#213) and the upper stripe from SM in between Seedling and the highlight (# 213).

I just love DRBrooklyn730 on Youtube! I am gonna have to check out that video of the look you did

As for smooth merge, I use it as a blush or the lighter color as a hightlighter like you said, Liya. I really like it with the 165 brush! But Smooth merge is def NOT my fav MSF by any means lol.

Re: Smoked Burgundy (U.W.Y.H. #2)" but I used Mango Mix as a base (not brown like she did) I loved Sketch over the orange very interesting result (that is what Petrilude did). she also used rice paper as highlight nice but not as special as SM
