MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

Re: Colour Forms Collection Discussion Thread

I had a chance to preview the whole collection, while picking up my Cool Heat e/s. In my opinion, the Colour Forms collection is amazing. I was only planning to pick up both the colour form powders, but now I want a whole lot more from this collection. I already pre-ordered both the colour form powders, the warm and cool eyeshadow palettes, 3 of the l/s, and all the p/m (but jardin aires, steel blue). I can't wait until July 18th.

so are these eyeshadows in the palette each in their separate pans or are they pressed together?

I just peeped some swatches and hmm the only thing I was excited for was Royal Flush but it looks like I could maybe get a similar look using a red base and cranberry e/s. I'll have to wait till I see it all in person but I still want something close to a true red that's considered eyesafe.

I also got a chance to peak at this and preordered a brush set, very nice!! If I remember correctly, each eyeshadow are in their own pan and royal flush was just okay.

i was totally going to skip over this collection & just get royal flush but those lippies are calling me. pop circle, inner hue & naked to the core look really good. i don't need rose go round because i already have port red

. royal flush & tea time pigments also look great. and the warm pallet looks so much better than the cool. these will be mine. come on july!

I think I want

Naked to the Core - Creamy soft neutral pink outer w/ sheer beige pearlized core (L)
Inner Hue - Creamy mid-tone coral outter w/ sheer golden peach pearlized core (L)

and possibly

Circa Plum - Frosty mid-tone lavender

According to a certain blogger Circa Plum is a little darker and not as frosty as Lovely Lily, more like Quietly. We shall see.

We have a comparison of Lovely Lily and Quietly here:

I saw swatches of everything, and I am not excited about the lipstick anymore... doesn't look that special. I was only planning 1 colour forms powder, now I may get both and I want to have a closer look at Gilded Green Pigment. Other than that, this collection really isn't trippin' my trigger

I'm psyched about the highlighters but holding off on brushes until they launch the "She Said" collection. Not sure about the palettes, but I'll prob skip lippies since Audrey is da bomb and I trust her opinion!!!

I'm going to check the collection out in person on Wednesday. But based on those swatches, I want:

- All four of the new pigments (maybe not Guilded Green if its too similar to Pastorale which is fug IMO)
- Sun Centered Colour Form Powder
- Warm Eyes Palette
- Warm Lips Palette
- Inner Hue l/s
- Dark Influence & Quick Flash Richmetal Highlighters

Does anyone know the price of the brush sets. Since I am somewhat of a brush "virgin" I'd like to get all the sets that come out from here on out but I have no clue as to the costs.
