i like frosty pigments much better, so if these has that finish, there'd be no stoppin' me from getting em. but since they are matte, i'm gonna have to wait til i take a trip to the chicago pro store and check em out for myself.

I hope the pro store here will have them here in July when I go there. But I am also not impressed by the matte finish.

Audrey thanks for the review! Not an enabler this time.

But yeah, I really want Pop Circle the most! And the Warm Eyes Palette then, since my eyeshadow collection isn't all that big.

But I really need to try on Rose-go-Round, Inner Hue, and Naked to the Core to really decide. I know those first two are definites now.

Thanks Audrey!

Well, if the Queen of Enablers says she's not impressed, then I guess I can pack up and lurk in another thread.

Sonic Chic don't fail me now!

I took a look at everything and I wasn't really impressed with the brush sets & lip palettes, so skipped those.

I preordered the following:
Pigments:
Royal Flush
Circa Plum

Colour Form Powder:
Play Around Pink

Richmetal Highlighter:
Deep Deposit
Rose Bullion
Dark Influence

5 Cool Eyes Palette

I love the way Play Around Pink looks over Rose Bullion highlighter, just beautiful.

Geeko - that looks REALLY pretty on you! Do you feel that both sets of powders have enough color to them or are they pretty light? TIA

And, your Haul pictures of them look amazing! They look so very pretty

I'm not Geeko, obviously, and I don't have these in my possession, but I thought I might be able to answer this. I personally feel that both sets of powders are fairly light. However, that is what benefits me. Most blushes end up looking like I took a marker and colored my face b/c my skin is so fair. I think if you have extremely fair skin and just want a hint of color on your cheeks, these will be beautiful....

Well, thanks Hun! Well, we did discuss earlier that markers would be a more permanent & cheaper source for us to get our color

Yeah, I'm pretty fair so these will be great. Although lately, I have been using brighter colors...just gotta use that 187 brush.

Oh that sound gorgeous

Rose Bullion was one I was definitely going to get, so that sounds great.

I love the sound of Rose Bullion - Pink Money - US Treasury, give us some pink money
smiles.gif
Would we be able to spend it then - or just look at it

So true!!!!

Elegant One, sometimes I wish I could put you in my pocket and take you everywhere with me! I've been slathering on my blush with the 129 just because I love how fluffy it is!! I cannot believe it never occured to me to use the 187. You'd think I would have picked that up here by now! I get things stuck in my head like "187-only for MSF's" and I never stray. I'm so weird....Thank you for telling me that. You might have just rescued me from selling off ALL my brushes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG...how cute was that

Sure, I'd love to come visit Texas

HAHAHA

Don't feel bad, it took me a long time to figure out too that I NEEDED the 187! The 187 is why I buy almost all the brush sets - I prefer the shorter handle.

Dangit, I just picked up a brush set from the Estee Lauder sale! I wish they'd lower prices on the palettes too, it'd be a great way to haul me in!

Despite all the comments about Tea Time not being unique, I just can't take my eyes off of it. I don't have many brown neutrals so I wouldn't mind adding this to my collection. To my eyes there seems to be a hint of green in it in some swatches which intrigues me...
th_dunno.gif
Maybe it's not there irl since no one's mentioned it. Or maybe I'm just mesmerized by the swatches (thanks y'all for providing them!).
cutey.gif

I'm interested in Circa Plum but only if it's more pigmented than Quietly. I love this pigment but to me it's just a tad too sheer. That goes with it's collection release (Lightful) so I can't knock it for that, but I'm hoping CP will be a stronger version of it. Otherwise I'll be passing on the pigments altogether.

Even all the other items... Suncentred looks oooo pretty on Geeko but I just picked up Suntwist b/p and I think it'll do a similar job. The Warm palette is gorgeous but to save money I'll just try and make dupes with what I have. TBH, the lippies aren't doing anything for me (thanks GOODness!), and oily skin automatically rules out the highlighters for me, which is the only thing I'm really diappointed about.

Sooo.... I'll take a deep breath and enjoy the rest of the swatches to come but will hold onto my resolve to skip this collection.

Everytime I think of the upcoming releases it reminds me of Publisher's Clearing House so-called making me a finalist and how I know exactly what I'd be spending my winnings on should I score big!
graucho.gif
But that's dream world, so back to reality I go...

You always know how to reason and exercise restraint! I hope that someday I will be as practical! But unfortunately, as much as I talk myself out of the majority of each collection before I see it, I get to the store and all the pretty colours hypnotize me! And then any reasoning goes out the door, or should I say out the wallet!

So instead, i'm not going to make any bold statements about passing up this collection. I am sticking to the Warm eye palette and Pop Circle, and maybe stop reading this thread! I'm already considering Rose Bullion now. Sun centered looks gorgeous on Geeko, but honestly, my Sweetness BPB looks almost like that on me if i apply it really lightly with my 188, i can always throw on a touch of NARS Albatross to give it a gold sheen.

LOL, talk to my husband and he'll definitely debate you on that!

It may be restraint in comparison to others but living off one income really forces you to be ultra-picky with what you can get. I definitely binged at the sale, even if I didn't spend as much as others.

If anything I should be holding off on most items unless they're incredibly unique since I've been into MAC for almost 4 years. I mean, given my budget it should really WOW me before I pick it up but the LE bug always gets to me! This is perhaps the first time I'd really be able to pass up on a full collection!

Buuuuut... if I weren't passing on it and had a decent wad of cash, my list would be (if anyone's interested, lol):

Warm Eye palette - Rolled Gold looks gorgeous, and doing an eotd with Tancentric and Rustic!
heat.gif

Cool Eye palette - Brown Border, Spot Color and Blue Spill - need I say more?
Rose Bullion - cuz I don't have a pinky thing like it!
Dark Influence - the colour mesmerizes me
Quick Flash - gotta love the gold
Royal Flush - I'd love to do a look with just RF on my eyes and cheeks
Tea Time - I just...can't ... stop staring...
Inner Hue - love me more peachy lippies!

In the meantime I'll enjoy the collection vicariously through everyone else! It's great to read everyone's thoughts and comments - and sassiness! - everyday.
