So do you (esp. of those who've seen the collection in person already!) all think that the quality of the brushes (namely the Advanced Set) is worse than Holiday 07 sets
th_dunno.gif
? i've wanted to try most of the brushes they've included in the set, but debating whether it's worth getting or not... PLEASE HEEEELP!

Ahhhhh. Thanks so much for the swatches Krasevaya!

I definitely want Pop circle and the Warm Eyes palette.

Is it just me, or is Inner Hue really an orange coral?

I wanted a pinker coral. I think I can cut that off my list. And... Naked to the Core looks like.. my exact lip color if a little browner, I think I may skip that, I like nudes like Lollipop loving and 2N, so I'd probably skip on Naked to the Core.

Of course, I will still try them on and give them a chance.. but as it stands... I probably won't get them. Rose-go-Round I'll definitely try, I could use another red..

Is it a blue-red, yellow-red, or a true red?

I preordered the advanced set. All i can say were the handles were glossy and the brushes def felt plenty soft to me.

just a question to those who might know, if we have pre ordered.. with the prices written down with a quote, would they be able to charge the higher price if it does go up on anything pre - ordered because damn I remember when pigments were 18.50 and I want them back down at that price.

also.. have the book with their prices in them.. so I don't know how well it will go over in stores if the hike up the prices on any of these things

i think that if they go ahead and charge your pre-order you're safe at the current price. but if they don't charge you until you pic em up, then you'll have to pay the current increased price. its not fair, but, unfortunately not all locations (including mine) have got the fax with all the price increases, so they can't inform you of that ahead of time.

- The eyeshadows are beautiful, rich and pigmented. I love having eyeshadow palettes in general, but i think my fav was the cool (but that always seems to be the case with me) The labelling on the eye and lip palettes were not stickers as far as I could tell, they were metal.

- The powders, def not pigmented enough to be used as a blush. These are just like my beloved beauty powders. They have the same gorgeous sheen. And honestly, it is not worth it to use them as individual colors- they are too sheer individually for the most part.

Is it dupable? Probably. Is it a gorgeous, versatile and well rounded collection? Without a doubt!

Thanks so much! This has confirmed my hopes for this collection!

Outstanding job Adina! Thank you so much for all of your hard work

If I have the cash, I think I will change my preorder. I will skip Gilded Green, and get Circa Plum instead. I can't stop thinking about it. I love the looks with this collection, too. They are gorgeous!

Even though I alreay saw everything, I keep changing my mind!
So bottom line, in a perfect world, if I had an unlimited amount of cash, I'd get:
-Circa Plum
-Female RMH
-Play Around Pink Powder
-Pop Circle l/s

BTW, my store is still telling me this launches on July 18th. Anyone else get a date confirmed?

Krasevayadancer, I love you! Thank you so much for doing all this for us. Great review and fantastic swatches! I'm getting Pop Circle and Circa Plum for sure now, and maybe Dark Influence too.

Thank so much for the great review & swatches Adina!

Its so weird, this is the first collection that every time I hear a review & see new swatches I cross something off my list...normally I add things the more we hear about them. So now my list is...
warm eyes palette
pop circle l/s
Dark Influence RMH
Rose Bulion RMH (this is turning into a maybe)
Circa Plum pigment (another maybe)

Originally I also wanted both powders & 4 pigments & 2 or 3 lippies, in 2 more weeks I might wind up with nothing at this rate! LOL

That's definitely something I will preorder now then! My wallet hopes that I don't find anything more that I want...I've already cut it to 3 pigments and a lip palette.

Re: Colour Forms Collection Discussion Thread

My oppinions/comments after seeing/playing with the collection yesterday:

+The brush sets are AWESOME. The handles are shiny black AND the writing on them is in like... holographic/iridescent color that matches the color of the bag it came in! It's the same type of writing as is on the Lure product boxes.

+ Brush sets not only come with the standard bag, but also a SLIM CASE which is the IDEAL Ipod case! My friend tried her Ipod in it, and its like PERFECT, the hole is right where the screen is and its awesome!

+Pigments are nothing unique

+Rich Metal Highlighters were actually the favorite product for me!! Depending on how long lasting they are/if they crease, these are GREAT colors to have as bases! All the colors are really nice, and the purple one is pretty close to the TRUE purple we've all been dying to see in a paintpot!

+Didn't know this, maybe you guys did, but the MA told me that the circle in the middle of the lipsticks is actually a moisturizer. Cool!

+Palettes are palettes, but in the Cool Eyes one there is an AMAZING purple that is the same color as my baby Mancatcher, but with the best payoff/texture I think I've ever seen in an eyeshadow!! It was crazyyyy

Posted pics and swatches over in that thread, hope this all helps someone
