MAC - Colour Forms Discussion

I actually really like the highlighters, and I want Rose Bullion and Quick Flash for bases. Plus, they're damn cheap...I'm all over em.

I wanted all the new pigments and the palettes but realistically when I go and compare my needs in my collection I think I'm just going to get Royal Flush. I want too much from other upcoming collections so I just NEED to cut back.

I'm going to buy it in person though next week so who knows what will happen! If it doesn't hold up to the swatches I might get Circa Plum instead but I definitely can't walk away with more than one thing!! =O

Also it might be worth mentioning that Rose Bullion's working name was Pink Ingot (from Metal-X), Dark Influence's working name was Plum Electric (from Metal-X), and Positive Charge's working name was Improper Copper (permanent Cream Colour Base). So maybe they are meant to be a cross between Metal-X and Cream Colour Bases. Not a big fan of them either way.

If anyone has those Metal-Xs or Improper Copper, consider skipping those particular Rich Metal Highlighters.

Thanks Bunny! That is exactly what I needed to hear to make myself feel better about skipping the richmetal highlighter!

I just wanted the 4 Pigments and couldn't get Royal Flush online so I did the online Live Chat thing and she told me to call the beauty specialist. I did that and was able to order all 4 like a breeze. The lady on the phone had to be the nicest rep I've ever spoken to in my life, too.

Well, silly me had placed my pre-order for the warm eyes palette at a counter that is a little bit out of the way and sure enough I went today to my nearest counter to view the rest of this collection. (They only had the palettes and brush sets for pre-order). So I won't be getting my palette till Sunday, but did end up also getting Inner Hue and Naked to the Core lipstick. I actually skipped Pop Circle, though it is gorgeous because Inner Hue was suprisingly a very flattering shade on (NC25, olive). It is a peach type shade, but not the kind that looks orange-y, more corally. Considering i had no make-up on today and looked like the undead, the fact that this looked nice on is saying a lot!!!

The closest to Pure Ore would probably be Female Rich Metal Highlighter, but I use the term "close" loosely. Pure Ore was a rich green-gold, and Female is a baby pink with a green-gold almost duo-chrome effect. It has a subtle greenish tone. It is far from a dupe though. =/

I previewed the collection yesterday.
And I'm definitely getting 5 Warms Eyes. The colors are SO HOT. I love the coppery red color, the antique gold color, and the olive color... GORGEOUS palette. Everything is smooth and pigmented too.

And I'm deffo getting a brush set too.

I got to play around with the eye palettes today
I really really liked the cool eyes right up my alley but I was buying my Sonic Chic and Electro Flash stuff. I think when I go back for some of the mineralize blushes I'll pick them up.

I did however get Naked to the core because I cant a nudie lipstick go by hehehe

While I would be tempted to get the brush sets, I will wait until they are at the CCO. Then I will get the Advanced one, since I would love a 187SE. Well, just a 187, but my CCO is sold out at the moment. All the brush sets end up there, heck they still have Patternmaker ones.

hm... I just did a reply of a dupe for Cash Flow from the Fafi collecton and stupid me, I think it's really similar to Quick Flash? Is it me or does Nice Vice look similar to Deep Deposit?!

Also, is Playaround Pink similar to Alpha Girl from Heatherette?!

Tell me it is so, so I can cancel my pre-order on Quick Flash and Alpha Girl. hahahaha....

BTW, does anyone know if Rubenesque paint pot looks anything like Positive Charge?

Thanks!

The MA said I should be getting my stuff in the mail around the 20th. Once I get them, I'll do a swatch (or at least describe the differences if my camera still doesn't work) of Play Around Pink and Alpha Girl. =)

Only 5 more days to go...the joke at work is that they started the "Countdown Til Katie Gets Her Warm Lips Palette".

Hey Bunny! So, what do you think about Quick Flash? Is it similar to Cash Flow?! Also if Positive Charge is similar to Rubenesque??

same. I've heard mixed reviews on the brush sets in terms of quality so I will wait until I get to the CCO to pick some up. But I want them because they would be great for traveling

I love the brush sets & have never had any problems with any of the brushes & I have like 5 different sets of them. Its such a great deal! I've wonder if those that have had problems with the bristles falling out is do to what or how they clean them.

I only use the anti-bacterial Wet Ones wipes with the red lid & never ever have problems losing brush bristles/hairs
