So, I ordered Climate Blue. I'm kinda excited.

I did a look today with Solar White over Cash Flow on the inner half of my lid and Gulf Stream over Rollickin on the outer half with Prankster (from Fafi) in the corner. So pretty and it will be even prettier with Climate Blue.

So, now really I have to be on a no buy until at least July. Luckily Cult of Cherry doesn't come out until Sept.

Here's my honest opinion. I'm NC25, quite olive and don't normally like blues on me. I'm mostly a warm purple and olive green kinda gal. Climate blue is really quite nice as far as any blue goes for me. As mentioned, it does look like it has some violet to it, so it's more like a royal blue, but what makes this one work is the depth of the shade. It's darker than past violet blue shades (i think iris print (?) might've been the one i remember as kinda similar to this). It's also not so dark that it looks muddy or gray on. I saw the swatch for Top Hat in the starflash thread, and I already know that if the swatch pic is accurate, that would end up just looking kinda gray on me because i have that problem with a lot of the darker colours, whereas this one doesn't. So for me, it's the one and only blue of it's kind that has worked, even DH commented on it last night! Texture wise, it is on the dry side, but having said that, i didn't have much of an issue using the 217 to apply. HTH!

It was the Kelowna bay store
I just got a call this morning from the MAC counter in my Bay and they said theyve arrived
I wasnt sure if they were really going to be able to get them or not


I called the bay in my city and informed them that the kelowna store had them and they did the rest for me!

If you call your local bay they can probably try and find some in the system for you, I hope this works out! Ill message this to you as well in case you didnt get it.

hi ladies! could someone help me? how does Bare slimshine compare to Gentle Simmer? Would you recommend one over the over for NW15 skintone, lightly pigmented lips? TIA

i just made my one of several MAC orders and ordered Climate Blue too! (and Luna CCB, E-Z Baby Tenderstone - thanks to Audrey, and the 227 brush -thanks to elegant-one). Ok, thats it! No more buying! Geeze, I thought clothes and shoes were my main addiction...

Not very similar at all in my opinion. I just finished reorganizing my palette for the Cool Heat colors and none of them are like Parrot. Parrot have a very obvious two-tone where as the Cool Heat shadows have a way stronger base color that predominates.

Get Cool Heat; you need it.

And I finally got my shadows!

I am so beyond love with this collection! The shadows are absolute perfection!! And after I had my depotting marathon, I now have 18 empties for B2M; slimshines, here I come....lol


PS>> I'm probably in the minority, but I really don't think that Waternymph and Gulf Stream look alike when I swatched them together. One had more of a green base and the other blue, plus one had way more shimmer in it.

noooooooooooo!!!!! Please tell me they are similar enough that since I really don't use my waternymph ever, I would hardly ever the Gulf Stream (lol, does that make any sense?)

I swatched waternympth next to gulf stream and they were way too similar for me to need both.... both are very pretty but I could hardly notice a difference

I'm sticking with my Waternymph. An infinitesimal amount of color difference doesn't convince me that I need it.
