i disagree with it being a frost. it may have been labeled a frost, but it was definately a velvet.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Hmmm are you sure? The texture is like a frost as well apart being labeled as one. Also, when I had ordered it online, it said Frost. Eyepopping is the only one that is Satin. And Passionate is matte.

i think i agree with erine. even though the label says frost, the texture is more chalky & gritty like a velvet (and for some reason, big t shows up mostly matte on my skin, not frosty at all)

Well I am just telling you all what is on the back of my shadow AND what was said online when I bought it. I mean shadows do vary in texture and finishes. Some mattes feel velvet, others don't. Or vice versa. But that doesn't mean that they are one just because they feel a certain way ya know? And I have all the C shock shadows, all of them except Eyepopping (Satin) and Passionate (Matte) say Frost.

GlamYOURUs, you are correct. Big T is a frost, which is why I was so surprised that it's so chalky and gritty. Gorgeous color but not easy to work with, IMO. I guess it depends on the frost shadow cuz they are not all made equal. That goes for Veluxe Pearls too. i.e. Beautiful Iris does not show up very much on me but the other colors do.

But Erine, I don't want to argue.

You probably know the textures better? Can it happen that an e/s is wrong labeled?

I still want 3-4 of them, but I already have Deep Truth, Big T and Blue Storm so I will probably scratch a few off of my wishlist. Solar White, Warming Trend and Warm Chill are still definates for me

Those were my picks exactly! I really want the Neo Sci Fi eye shadows & Colour Forms already

I'm really excited for this collection,
although I already have a lot of blues, greens, teals and aqua's but all of these look gorgeous. I'll probably end up buying all the shadows and right now there's only 1 slimshine that doens't appeal to me... oops... haha!

It's so funny how personal these things are;
Big T and Beautiful Iris belong to my favourite eyeshadows and I love-love-love using those two together!!

That is so true. It is personal because there have been threads on here of what shadows people have trouble with or hate and I'm like "Really? I love that shadow

!"

I really love Beautiful Iris as a color!! I like Big T too but it was hard to blend a bit. I want to make them work. Maybe I needed to do something before? Do you use a base?

I completely agree with you Erine. It absolutely does have the texture of a velvet-had to be mislabeled.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

I can't stop thinking about these shadows. I am trying to behave and think that I have shades that are similar, but these are MY colors, and all the finishes are different from the ones I have (You're right Erine, it does make a difference). If these were anything blue blues and teals, I could pass without a second thought, but I can't dismiss these colors.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

ok. let's recap. i think we all agree that big-t is labelled as a frost. but some of us feel that it has a different texture compare to some other frosts like nylon and waternymph.
the whole argument started with me asking which kind of frosts these new shadows are (i love both big-t and waternymph, but i don't want something with similar color AND the same texture from cool heat), and now that we know, let's just leave it there.
and for those of us think that big-t should really be a velvet, let's just think of it as a new breed of frosts

Maybe some people have a fake Big T? lol jk!
I honestly know its a frost, I mean why would MAC lie and say it is ONLINE and on the back of the pot, ya know? Doesn't make sense to me. It even feels like a Frost compared to my other frost shadows. Its hard to pack on and blend. Its gritty. Although some frosts work better than others - thats a given.

I believe the new shadows in this collection have Frosts and VPs.

I'm hoping I'll be able to pull off Climate Blue and Warm Chill. I have yet to find a lighter green that works on me, so my fingers are crossed!
