If memory serves me right, Warm Chill is a tiny bit warmer and touch more green than Brill. And then of course, there is the gold sparkle that Brill doesn't have. They are about the same color intensity, though. Brill is my VERY favorite MAC shadow EVER.

If anyone has Brill (dc'd), how similar is it to WC? Thanks so much!

I just noticed Gentle Simmer doesn't have a little triangle next to it like all the other slimshines... does that mean it will be permanent?

tropic glow slimshine is described as blue pink.. does that mean it will look kind of like love knot and have that blueish tint?

sorry, i'm a lippie newbie.

No, Love Knot was a duochrome which means it reflected two different colors, pink and blue. Tropic Glow is described as a blue pink, but it does not reflect blue. Blue pink usually means the pink is more cool toned as opposed to warm toned. It is hard to describe.

you always beat me to it!

exactly like audrey said. there are red-based pinks (warm) and blue-based pinks (cool). fuschia is a red-based pink, because you see alot of red in it.

Re: Cool Heat Discussion

Erine or Audrey could either one of you tell me which slimshine would probably go best with my skin tone and not be too bright??

I pre-ordered High 90's but now when im looking the swatch it looks really corally and i dont know if i will be able to pull that off.

high 90's is very orange and bright, with more coverage than normal slimshines. i think by degrees would look good on you. its a good neutral pink, with a touch of brown, but not too brown. but if you want something that isn't neutral, i would suggest tropic glow or swelter.

The good thing is that Slimshines are sheer, so you can layer them to get more color. I think High 90's will look great on you, as would Swelter (the red one) and Gentle Simmer (the yellow-pink one).

I think By Degrees would look great on you! I think you will be ok with High 90s, but it is pretty bright. You could always put lip balm (Tendertones!!), or Chapstick under it, to sheer it out too. I think you could definately pull off Swelter too
yes.gif
It really depends what you like. I think these slimshines really work well for a variety of skintones

Does anyone have both Warm Chill and You're Fresh from the Fafi quad? This thread says You're Fresh is more pistachio-y... but I'd like to see them side-by-side.

What about Gulf Stream and Surreal?

Ah, so many questions. Like everyone is saying, I might as well just take my green palette along with me!
