I think I worded myself wrong...I was already getting 3-4 of the shadows. But with solar white being so popular and gulf stream having all these problems, I didnt want to wait and then possibly miss out.

I'm not going to bother calling. I'm just gonna get the two shadows, then i will decide on the rest when i get to MAC this weekend (I better get there!) and ill decide on the slimshines that day too.

Wear them over a light coloured liner, they're still moisturizing and have better staying power and show up a bit better too. The darker ones show up fine on their own, but will last a bit longer over liner. HTH!

You're not the only one not ordering! I like to shop in person too, and I'm going in on Thursday to check them out. I say just wait until Saturday. You can see everything for yourself, swatch and best of all, you can take it home right then instead of waiting for the mail.

Thankyou so much to erine1881 and starz for their suggestions yesterday on how I could get my hands on some VAE,

erine, I tried Nordstroms and Macys but I was doing what I could to stay within Canada to avoid shipping

Starz suggested that I should look into the bay in another city, transfering some to my local bay store, I called this morning and the MAC counter in my local bay said they would set up the transfer for me and everything. I'm so freaking stoked.

Woooooo! Thanks to my lovely ladies at Bloomies, I've got 2 of each shadow and 2 of each Slimshine waiting for me to pick up Thursday morning.

How sad is this? I was telling my girls (3 1/2 and 5) that were were going to the mall on Thursday morning and my 5 year old said "Is it new MAC time?" They both know that Thursdays are new MAC days

I'm also going shopping on Saturday and STILL cannot make up my mind. I don't really care that other ppl are ordering or freaking out. I need to see everything and then decide

Also, unline everybody else, I'm not that interested in Solar White. I like colored e/s better

WW and SW are the same finish, as are T and WT. they are just slightly different from each other in color, but are almost clones.

Does anyone know why MAC would produce this whole collection and then only send a select few colors? Is it to drive demand for it or did they just mess up?

its not that. they are having production/shipping issues with all collections. take the bronzers for example. golden and bronze are long term out of stock, due to pressing issues. apparently, different colors are produced at different plants, which is why those two are affected and the others aren't at this moment. so, whatever plant produces gulf stream must be having some issues.

plus, when i stated earlier that we hadn't received alot of the collection, that was the first shipment of it that came about two weeks before its supposed to launch. collections don't usually arrive as a whole in one shipment. sometimes they trickle in in separate orders.

See I have no transportation. So I'm only praying that i get to my store this weekend. I have been ordering online since I got into MAC (n collection) and I have had to just go by swatches...I've only madea few returns from that, but still. I want to start seeing my MA in real life and looking gorgeous, and getting my purchases same day. But I did order Gulf Stream and Solar White. Itll be here thursday...before my appointment

I almost never buy online UNLESS my counter has run out of the product I wanted or they just didn't get it. For colors in shadows, lipsticks and such, I HAVE TO SEE THESE IN PERSON. I can't just buy something I think I don't have or 'looks' unique b/c it might not be once you swatch it. And we all know, the descriptions on MAC's website is off, so are the pics.

That is hilarious. I do the same thing with my kids (3 1/2 and 2) and my son now asks if i'm getting "new make-up"!!! He swatches it all with me and everything!

very true..

i have to wait til saturday as well and i'm having a mini panic attack thinking some stuff might sell out before i get there. i'm trying to tell myself that i can always just swatch the samples and order them online if nothing else.

on a side note, i thought i didn't need gulf stream, blue flame or cool heat..until i saw marberry's pics. they are so beautiful

Checked with my counter today and they didn't get Gulf Stream in either. I also checked about B2Ming for Slimshines (didn't want to run into the same problem Audrey's been having) and they do, so I'll be sittin' pretty - literally!

I just called me MAC counter and they have not received Gulf Stream yet but he did say they had 12 on the way. He said it had shipped from MAC on the 4th. I don’t know how many of a shadow counters usually get but that didn’t sound like many so I guess I will either order it or keep checking back if it’s not there by Thursday. Anyway, if your MAC doesn’t have it now it’s probably on its way soon.
