I thought the same when I saw the glossy black packaging.

They could have tried harder but at least we aren't getting regular packaging like with Mariah

I'm not impressed with the retro matte liquid color selection. Mac is late on the wagon this time. And imo there's plenty of good matte liquid lipsticks in the drugstore. I'm more excited about the Maybelline ones than these.

Again, MAC was the first to have liquid lipsticks, so...

Is it weird that I'm not crazy about liquid lipsticks? A lot of them look like dried paint on the lips. I get that they're really practical for times when you can't check on your lipstick and reapply if needed, but for the most part I think MAC's matte lipsticks are good for that too.

I do have two KvD liquid lipsticks: Nosferatu and Bauhau5. I do really like them. I just feel like I don't reach for them as much.

I meant this time around, mac is late in the liquid lipstick game. Even if they had it originally. The time it took for them to reformulate these, other cheaper brands pumped them out. I don't think mac came out with anything outstanding this year from a normal consumer perspective.

Erin isn't referring to these specific ones being first despite the reformulation. MAC has a liquid lipstick available now (which has been available for a while), they just dont dry matte (from what i believe), so they were ahead of the game really

MAC posted on Snapchat that they will be revealing their next Viva Glam spokesperson on Periscope at 2pm tomorrow. They showed a piece of artwork as a teaser to who it is, but I am clueless.

I never meant the retro mattes where the first. But the liquid lipstick is trendy this year. So even if they do have a liquid lipstick already in line, its obviously not that popular. And in that way they are late in the game with the recent trend.
