They actually dry down VERY matte. You just have the option of applying an accompanying gloss to help soften the feel and look without compromising the wear. They were super popular when they first came out, but them they slowly died away. And then came the trend of all the weird and fun colours, but not this formula. So mac had a problem on their hands. A non-popular formula, but a trendy formula and colours that they didn't corner the market on. Now they're back at it!Im glad to hear the price is reasonable! Erin isn't referring to these specific ones being first despite the reformulation. MAC has a liquid lipstick available now (which has been available for a while), they just dont dry matte (from what i believe), so they were ahead of the game really
Yeah, they do look like dried paint. I hate them, much rather have lipsticks that don't make my lips hurt.Is it weird that I'm not crazy about liquid lipsticks? A lot of them look like dried paint on the lips. I get that they're really practical for times when you can't check on your lipstick and reapply if needed, but for the most part I think MAC's matte lipsticks are good for that too.
I do have two KvD liquid lipsticks: Nosferatu and Bauhau5. I do really like them. I just feel like I don't reach for them as much.
Do you know how much the retro matte liquid lipsticks will be? If so, tell us.Again, MAC was the first to have liquid lipsticks, so...
They sure are late to the liquid lipstick party. I do not think I will pay $19 or $20 when I can get a good one from $5 to $14.I never meant the retro mattes where the first. But the liquid lipstick is trendy this year. So even if they do have a liquid lipstick already in line, its obviously not that popular. And in that way they are late in the game with the recent trend.
True. Milani makes a great LL and it is priced very competitively. They will be out again the beginning of next year.I'm actually really excited for the RMLL. I'm not interested in all those online only brand liquid lipsticks, Stila is so overpriced, there aren't that many drugstore options, etc.
Yeah I'm waiting on those too! Couldn't find the first LE run in CanadaTrue. Milani makes a great LL and it is priced very competitively. They will be out again the beginning of next year.
Ah, I've never tried them, I didn't know they dry down matte. I thought the gloss helped lock in the colour. Interesting. I'm exciting for the RMLLsThey actually dry down VERY matte. I like stila but they are definitely expensiveI'm actually really excited for the RMLL. I'm not interested in all those online only brand liquid lipsticks, Stila is so overpriced, there aren't that many drugstore options, etc.

It's Miss Doughnut Licker
And the orange! Buuut if they look very dry on the lips, probably not for me . Will try out one though.
I love the purples especially Oh Lady and High Drama.Quote:
I like the purples, R&R and Mademois-Elle (for the name mostly, so light!).

Edit: Well, I just saw the lipstick and lipglass and it's just not for me.
I am hoping for a retro matte. LolDespite Ariana being the Viva Glam rep for 2016, the lipstick is to die for. It's bold, unconventional... And I happy it's not red... or pink... or a lustre even
I'm praying that its a RM lolI am hoping for a retro matte. Lol
