Are Heroine and Violetta close dupes? According to T's swatch gallery they sure look like it. Since I can order Violetta from Pro and the website when it comes back in stock I may do that to avoid the madness. Thoughts?

the texture makes them different heroine is like a matte violetta.

They are close but no dupes. Violetta has a pretty blue undertone to it that you don't get from Herione and then the finish is also different. I have them both plus Strong Woman and I would never part with either of them.

The Heroine nail polish reminds me of Jo'Mina by Illamasqua a lot.

I don't understand why MAC doesn't make everyone's lives easier (including their own) and just makes Heroine permanent. Every time they re-release it, everyone goes crazy ordering 4 tubes of it and then it sells out the same day it came out. The lipstick is so beautiful and sells so well that it deserves to be part of the permanent collection. That was the same case with Candy Yum Yum and now finally it is permanent. I would refrain from using my Candy Yum Yum because I didn't want to run out of it because at the time, it was LE.

Same with Violetta lipstick. I know it's PRO now but it's not enough because it's constantly sold out at my PRO store. It's so beautiful too, so just make it permanent. And I feel like their permanent collection of lipsticks does not have enough purple lipsticks. It drives me crazy. I just don't get it, it's very frustrating. Ok, my rant is done now.

I agree. I didn't even realize there was shimmer in it. I would have liked it more without the shimmer, i think.

Do you own mall madness from Archie's? The shimmer in it reminds me of the one seen in heroine lipglass. It's very subtle and pretty

I love Hibiscus.  It's the only orange lipstick that looks nice on me (probably because of the coral in it).  I wonder how Ablaze looks compared to oranges like Sail Le Vie and So Chaud.

I love Hibiscus as well for the same reason. I hope the Ablaze lipglass will be perfect for me as well!

[COLOR=CC66FF]I ordered Heroine but I doubt it will look like that beautiful bright springy purple that it does on everybody else.  It's supposed to be very close to Violetta and Violetta on me is a very dark vampy purple.  Trying to find a way to make it not so dark.[/COLOR]

Heroine never seemed vampy or dark on anyone, IMO

My experience is that LE MAC shadows are inconsistent. Some are great - creamy application with good color pay off - and some are hard, dry, and difficult to work with. This variability means i have to test them to see if they'll work for me. I don't understand why MAC seems to have so much trouble bringing out consistently good e/s in their collections. Most of the standard shadows i've tested seem more consistently decent. As far as other brands go, my local sephora doesn't carry a lot of lines that sephora in general carries, and there are no dept. stores in easy reach. So i confess i still look to MAC, but i buy other brands when i like the colors and finishes - Make Up For Ever, NARS, Urban Decay... but they're certainly no cheaper than MAC. And although a fraction of the cost of MAC, most drug store eye shadows have limited staying power and fade fast on me, even with eye primer. And Wet 'n' Wild in particular makes my eyes burn intensely. I though i was getting a great deal with some WnW palettes, but for me they are unwearable because the pain just isn't worth it. What brands would you recommend?

Hi, how are you?! Violetta and Heroine are very different on my lips and against my skin tone, but I find when I add a liner like Currant or Nightmoth and put clear lipglass on top, the results are the same. Straight out the tube, they are very different. I hope this helps!!!

That's exactly what I was thinking. I do own it, but to be honest, I have only worn it once. IDK why, because I was so sure I wouldn't be complete if I didn't have MM. Funny thing is I'm not a huge gloss person and I told myself this when I was finalizing my list for this collection. I don't listen...But, this week I've been throwing on some lipglass or NYX mega shine lip gloss when in a hurry, so they're not a complete waste. I'm loving the formulation of the NYX mega shine lg.

I ordered around 3:45am. I just received a shipping notice 10 minutes ago for my first order which I opted to have shipped overnight. The other order which I placed shortly after is standard shipping and still pending. If you're worried about it you can call CS just to make sure everything is okay.

Yeah, I went ahead and got EM because the Heroine lg was sold out, lol. I'm glad I did though because it looks pinker which is what I was hoping DLG would look like!
