Gonna check out that Showgirl e/s as well, seems it's the most popular out of the 4. The only thing i'm a bit undecided about are the blushes, only gonna get one (or at least try lol ..). Which one did you find most flattering Anneri? Im nc15, so only a little bit lighter than you. TIA

Hi Liz! Well, that's a hard thing to decide. I think it depends on your personal taste, really, because both would be definitely flattering on you! TPC is a bit more muted, better suited for a very neutral cheek and goes with everything.
On the other hand, if muted corals are your thing, get Legendary.

As your slightly darker than I am maybe as I haven't been matched in a good while. What's your HG highlighter or what u use regularly if you haven't been blessed finding your HG? I am curious as I haven't played with highlighting much yet. TIA.

It's hard to tell by the screen, but you certainly look lighter than me. Without any tan, I'm between NC20-25. I got a lot of sun in August and my arms are still darker than usual (NC30-35 I'd guess).

I don't have many highlighters either; I'm likely older than you so I should state up front that I'm not a fan of glitter anymore nor do I like strong metallic finishes on me. I'd have been fine with both 20 years ago so we may have different tastes.

NARS Albatross is a white gold highlighter. There's a swatch of it against Whisper of Gilt in the Holiday thread. I found WoG far too metallic for me, but Albatross is more subtle. Even then I buff the shine down. NARS Nico is extremely subtle; it's another that doesn't really show but serves to brighten the skin. I use it to set my concealer and as a highlight/powder to buff against my blush on the cheekbones.

I also have 2 MSF: Star Wonder and Light Year. LY is gorgeous despite the fact that it's sparkly and all the stuff I don't like. LOL It's a summer indulgence when I'm liking glow more.

I bought Star Wonder because I liked it so much on others but I'm really not feeling it now. I should probably swap it away so someone else can enjoy it. It's just a bit too coolish pink for me.

Thank you for your response. I do have LY and SW. I'm not that young tho lol. I'll be 34 on the 2nd. I don't feel like I'm gonna be in my mid-thirties but the multiplying gray in my hair is giving it away lol. I'll look into Nico for a more subtle highlight than LY. I keep forgetting I can use multiple cheek products at a time but with an 18 month old I don't always have the luxury of time. She catches wind of possibly leaving the house and tries to drag me out the door in my pj's and her in just a dipe (it's been hot so I let her run around in just a diaper unless we leave the house lol) she just doesn't get it yet lolol.

Please MAC I wanna order my DA before I miss out on it. I wore Rocker yesterday and even with minimal makeup it looked great on me and with Richelle's pics of how close they are I need need need it. I'm having a rough time right now with roomates and a toddler and need the pick me up. I have my debit card ready go and although it ain't much everyone here has theirs too and likely has more to spend then I do lol. Come on let's go MAC, bring it on!

Does anyone know how close "Deeply Adored" is to "Rocker" ... And how similar perhaps "Charmed I'm sure" is to "Runway red " or another?

I'm thinking if they are close enough I can save myself money and perhaps just get "Love goddess."

Also ... I know Marilyn wore several shades to get the perfect contoured red lip.. It really seems like all the red shades you could use to make that contoured lip...

It seems TPC will be a little more unique to me (skipped Pink Cult, don't have anything like it in my stash), but i do love corals, lol .. Maybe i'll just get them both then, i'm really in blush overload atm but i can't seem to manage skipping the blushes lately, it's a disease lol

There's the comparison. I'm ok with them differing slightly tho. I hear ya with the money vs number of collections and things I want. Priorities suck the big one as does being an adult sometimes lol. I hope you can indulge a bit tho.

5, really? or is that based on the actual annual sales of that counter? i can't imagine.
but red is red so there are tons of dupes, so i'm not surprised. I look at it like this; If you don't get a collection color, you will find something else MAC offers to get that MM look. The only special thing about this collections is MM and her legacy with makeup.

It's based on how the counter did with last years collection (which I believe this time last year was MAC me over? I'm not positive)+ how they do with similar colors. If a counter never sells red lipstick, they wont sell them a lot of it. They'll send it to the counters who do. So just because that particular counter only got 5 doesn't really mean a whole lot for anyone else's. They're not trying to make it harder for people to get them, they're going by the numbers they have. I know when I worked there I didn't always agree with it, but it's based on how the counter tends to sell those particular types of colors/products. For some collections we'd get 3 of one color and 33 of another, You would think it would just be 18+18, but nope. HTH

Alright, I just tried on Runaway Red and Rocker to make sure I don't need to get BUs of Charmed, I'm Sure and Deeply Adored. Fail! I forgot how much I like these darker reds on me. Sigh. I was trying to cut back to save money for Glamour Daze, so I changed my list to only get BUs of Love Goddess and Scarlet Ibis. But I think I'm going back to my original list of 4 lipsticks with BUs for each. I'm tired of going back and forth with this. This isn't rocket science. It shouldn't be this difficult to decide what to do, so I'm making it easy for myself.

Just spent my break at work figuring out exactly how much my haul tonight will be...with tax. In Seattle our sales tax is almost 10% so it can be a little shocking at the register sometimes. I was surprised that it wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be!

So far I'm only getting back ups of the body powder (I'm very pale so I'm actually really excited about this one!) and Love Goddess, but I think if I fall in love with any of the shadows I will back them up as well. I was hoping I could get my must-haves ordered before the event tonight so I could relax and enjoy it...Oh well! Good luck to everyone stalking tonight! Hopefully I don't have to join you!
