Contrast? Did she recommend that as a dupe for Showgirl? I think Pro Longwear shadows in Weathered or Linger Softly would make better dupes to Showgirl than Contrast. Just my opinion though. 

Yeah, she named Contrast. Are those PLW shadows perm? Perhaps it slipped her mind. I agree that Weathered is a better choice. Either way, I think they're both stronger choices than what's in this collection.

The good part? well, I might be able to get my hands on a couple of things at the store so whatever I can get I will post here if I have stuff to be sold or swapped.
As of now. I still have more than one legendary. In fact, if anybody wants to swap let me know, I'd rather swap than feel like I'm an evilbayer.

I didn't know that there was a Pro discount on MM! I just got approved so I can shop at Mac stores since I haven't received my card... totally payed full price today lol. Not feeling so bright right now. One cool thing is that my stuff is already on it way to me

So,I called my local mac counter that I usually shop with and they said they aren't allowed to hold anything at all for this event/collection. And I called Nordies and they are no longer doing any pre-sales for the stuff I wanted ( bp,lipsticks,etc) and said they only have 1 of each lipstick available when they open for the launch, That sucks! I can see it now,grown women arguing ,doing body slams for those last items! Lol,.j.k ,but seriously ,I know there's going to be quite a few people waiting outside for the same stuff and alot of upset peeps. This sucks.... I really hope MAC would give a Great / decent amount of restock really soon! They should've known it wld sell out quick,MM is a beauty Icon for crying out loud,sooo many people love her. Ive heard of lots of people who aren't even into make-up so much,or into MAC and were getting items just because its Marilyn Monroe, Xo

Personally, I'm convinced that MAC only sold out because they're releasing a few items out of their entire stock for today. This is to build "hype", which is exactly what they did for the Blogger's Obsession collection.

I feel bad for posting this (I guess), but I am really angry with MAC over this. I didn't have a chance to wait up for it to appear on the site and by the time I finally got on, it was all gone. Nordstrom gave me a date of 10/1 or 10/2, but I have no store nearby, so I'll have to refresh a lot on those days to try and get the three items I'm looking for.

I do have one counter nearby, but would have to arrange to get there the second the store opens to hopefully pick up the beauty powder, blush and a lipstick.

But this is nothing new with MAC, so I should be used to it by now.

BTW, Christine's swatches are off a lot of the time. I got the Illamasqua Wisdom liquid liner and while it's gorgeous, it doesn't have that copper-gold appearance that it had in her photo. Maybe her camera just picks things up you can't see without zooming in closely.

Ground-only generally means that the item isn't given a pass to fly in the aircraft for express shipping. It depends on which carrier is used. USPS excludes express shipping if there is a hazardous item, so it has to take the long route (truck delivery) - this is why places like Urban Decay cannot give free shipping for orders over $50 if there is nail polish in the order.

In the case of UPS, they have a means/permission to ship the item via air. There will most likely be a sticker on the outside of the box indicating it is a hazardous material that is a consumer commodity.

I was just at my local MAC counter (at Nordstrom) and they are still taking pre-sales! So, call your local counter and double check! But hurry, my counter is closing pre-sale tomorrow in order to save inventory for the store launch. I'm sure it'll be a similar timeline for other counters. I sure felt piece of mind knowing that my goodies were already set aside! Haha, and I was only there for P&P lip...

I will say scratch, claw and do whatever you need to do to get those lipsticks, though. I really do think I'll go next Thursday as soon as my store opens to get another Love Goddess.

Hi love! I was very lucky, woke up today & it wasn't online yet, woke up my girls, made them breakfast, refreshed the page & it was there so I ordered Love Goddess, that was all I wanted & I checked my status & it shipped today so I guess I have nothing to worry about? It was very easy for me, I couldn't believe how fast everything sold out though!
I have TPC & I believe it was because you talked me into that one years ago! lol. I can see you talking me into legendary in a week or so when you track it down at your counter. I know you'll get what you want even though you missed it this morning

and lol at your little cartoon! I am laughing so hard at it!!!

No way ! I went to Grand Central MAC 2 days ago and they told me they dont do presales ! They told me it went on sale on Oct 4 and to call in the morning to hold things if I couldn't make it by opening.

I stood up and had sleepless nights and of course everything goes on sale when I'm on my way to work ! By the time I got to work I got the email of death. I knew everything was sold out ... UGH!

Would it be possible for you to describe who did the presale for you ? Maybe I'll have some luck if I go to Grand Central and try again .

Speaking of similar or backup lipsticks...I LOVELOVELOVE Mehr ls which I had in the past with multi backups, then I get an email from MAC the other day that showed a new Mehr (fashion week?) so I bought another

The new Mehr is slightly darker & a bit more rosier than the original. I like it but still not like I do the original on.

I didn't know the original and the new Mehr look different. Hope the new one is still lovely.
Sounds like you have a happy Mehr family in your stash.

Hiya ladies,

This morning, I managed to get the three items I wanted: DA, CIS, and the BP! CAN'T FREAKING WAIT! But yesterday, before I knew I would score online, I called around to some nordies in Los Angeles. The WESTSIDE PAVILLION NORDSTROM'S is doing a presale. The sales lady said they would ship, if need be, so you can call from another state/city and reserve the goods. I'd suggest calling to see if you can score some of the items you might have missed online. As of yesterday, they definitely still had the lippies and the BP. Hope this helps!

Wow - wha'd I miss? I checked the site around 5:40am before I left for work and I just got home now to see that pretty much the full flipping line is sold out! Good thing I pre-ordered. Now to go back and catch up on 30 pages on messages. LOL
