Firstly, welcome to the forum!

Secondly - NEVER go to evilbay. Always come here first - there is always SOMEONE willing to swap, or sell or CP you something if they can get their hands on it for you. It may cost a little more but it'd be nothing compared to horrible evilbay prices!

I do completely agree with you though - you would think MAC would re-stock and take care of their customers. I received shitty CS from them during the wait for my items and I made a long ass complaint email, I'm not taking it sitting down.

What would be the cost for flat rate shipping to US? I too have been considering evilbay. Terrible, I know, but I don't know what else to do!

I managed to navigate the MAC website on the launch date and ordered Love Goddess, Scarlet Ibis, and Deeply Adored. I didn't realize until I stepped off of the bus to head to work that I had completely forgotten Charmed, I'm Sure. LOL. Not a total fail, but I'm kicking myself for missing it since it looks so darn pretty.

I ended up ordering Love Goddess, Legendary, and the beauty powder. When I got them, I just wasn't wowed with the colors. I have them unused, in their packaging if anyone wants to buy them. Just pm me. I have my feedback up here. I really wanted to love the colors, but since I don't, figured there may be someone up here who would give them a good home and some love! Would hate for someone to miss out on them, while they're on my dresser collecting dust.

So like the girl above I have been a long time stalker of Spektra, but have never posted but I just had to share my Marilyn story too.

This may sound silly but I live in MN and never thought that for a second that everyone knew about this collection or were uber prepared for it. I figured if I went the day of launch I'd be fine. Nope! All of the lipsticks sold out in the morning and they had big ass lines of people. This may sound naiive but I was so shocked!! I called every MAC in MN and they were all sold out this morning. BOO. A MA @ Macys offered to do a search and send and get me one from the replenishment center, I was so excited! I had the items I want on order! I got an email at 10pm last night saying they were out of the lipsticks and couldn't fulfill my order. WTF?! If I placed an order and there was stock left at the time, why the hell aren't I getting it? Did they oversell or overpromise or fill other orders first? UGH It made me so mad that Macys would do that. I didn't cry or anything but i took my mad ass to ebay and overpayed for a Love Goddess. I hate supporting those people that screwed us over but I was desperate and saw no other option.

I am more mad that MAC created such a limited supply. That is freaking bogus. They new it would be a hit. I understand Limited Edition but when it is SOOO limited not everyone can get one, that is RUDE. I think they should at least restock it once. They would make so much MORE MONEY if they just let everyone buy a lipstick that wanted one! Imagine if they restocked it for a full 3 weeks then they ended the stock of it. I see no harm in doing it that way because at least then all of the customers would be happy. I think it is super cruddy of MAC to create these frenzies and then leave it at that with so many disgruntled customers. You would think they would WANT to sell more and make more money. It wouldn't taint the coolness of it. lol. The MAC customer service rep. said the only way they would restock a LE is if they had requests for it but I doubt that. They probably feel ecstatic they sold a collection so fast and so well. I love makeup but a freaking lipstick shouldn't be that rare or hard to get!! i mean jesus. They created this culture of greed with the people buying multiples just to sell them for profit on ebay. I read a post a few days ago comparing this to UD's Naked palette and how they were nice enough to restock til everyone was happy thus no one selling them on ebay.

I just think it is really unfair of MAC to create this frenzy and then barely stock it.

you know i was so excited as i was the first in line at macys all i went for was the beauty powder love goddess pure zen and deeply adored well apparently they had no bp's and i was the only one to get deeply adored, i'm assumings the associates got dibs on their items because how could there be no bp to sell and only one DA anyways after the mob left the manager came up to me and offered me the bp on search and send...i ordered it and left macys like i could just die peacefully with the only 3 itmes i got (later picked up my a partial order i was able to purchase at nordstroms)... well i as well around 10 got the heart breaking email that they could not fulfill my order of the bp...i was so disappointed right away messged some lovely specktra ladies to get it for me (SPECIAL THANKS TO GRACIE WHO IS GETTING IT FOR ME & PEACHTWIST FOR LETTING ME KNOW SHE COULD OF DONE ME THE FAVOR AS WELL) But still i was upset that macys did that because i had other oppurtunities to get it while it was around in the us just didn't since i figured i'd leave it for other ladies that want it.... this line has def been a stressful one due to how many disappointed people they left trying to get these products everywhere

OctoberViolet, you are very fortunate that MAC is replacing you order and I'm super pleased that this ordeal is going to work in your favor. But the fact that someone in your building has your package and never attempted to return it just doesn't sit right with me. Where's the decency? Especially if they opened it because that is illegal. I would look into getting building management involved. But I must agree with ChoosenOne, maybe you should contact UPS to let them know of the situation and how to proceed with your packages for future reference. I really hope we can get over this Marilyn craze soon with everyone on the forum getting what they really want. Even multiple BP backups.

i can not believe there are people that would just keep someones package my neighbor one street down recieved my package drove to my house to tell me ups delivered my package i was so glad that he returned my stuff to me but to think there are people like that is just terrible.... my 6 year old just got his bike stolen from our patio and that broke my heart, someone obviously knew it was a little boys due to the small size and he wrote his name in his little kid handwriting....some people are just terrible from stealing a little boys bike to keeping a girls makeup order shame on them....

yes my son was devasted, he rides his bike every single day with my daughter and the neighbor kids, but since that happened and he has no bike they cant ride their bikes : ( his bday is in dec it's still a little way out but thats what he'll be getting and a size bigger since hes becoming a "big boy" now.....lol aww at your pink bike...kids as a memory never fade hope you got it replaced lol with a better pink bike then a new car when you got older
