I know I feel a little "Marilynish" when I wear these products.

Yesterday, for instance, I wore (again!) Preferred Blonde and Showgirl e/s with a thick black winged liner and Diva + Russian red l/s. I felt super sexy! I've been working on my winged liner technique like mad!

I was very lucky and got everything I wanted for me and my DD.
While some stuff didn't worked for me It worked for my DD. I am NC 25-30 - My DD is NW20
FM powder looks a little bit ashy on me but on my DD looks so BEAUTIFUL! Got the red lippies for myself and Pure Zen for DD w/summerfruit lipliner
So my final haul was

4 FM powders ( 2 for me 2 for dd)
3 Love Goddess
3 Deeply Adored
1 Scarlet Ibis
1 Charmed I am sure ( I wish I gotten a backup!,but given the circumstances I am glad I got one)
Beet and Cherry lipliner
2 Pure Zen lipsticks ( for dd)
1 showgirl e/s
1 preffered blonde e/s
2 TPC blush ( 1 for me onr for dd)
2 legendary blush ( 1 for me one for dd)
A brow liner

It can get really expensive when buying for 2 !!!! I got most stuff online and some calling a couple of mac counters statewide.

Me too. I love that we have access to o much knowledge, My wallet & my husband hate it, but I love every minute of it!

So, I decided to give the beauty powder a try before writing it off completely. If I had to guess, I'm probably around a NC30-35 at the moment. For all the lovely Specktrettes who are NC30 and above, how are you using the BP? I know some people mentioned using it as a highlighter but IIRC, someone else mentioned using it all over for a glow? What brushes are being used to achieve these looks (in particular, the all over glow

When I initially tried swatching it on my hand when I placed my pre-order, I thought it was ashy and that I wouldn't be able to work with it. Then I ordered some for CPs and got really curious because everyone was RAVING about it. Luckily, Yazmin had one available and I was able to avoid skipper's remorse.

I'd love any advice anyone can give me. I really want to try and make it work by using the right tools. And if after I try it, I feel like someone else could benefit more from it, then at least I won't be wondering "what it?"

I'm NC25, although I feel like its a tad too dark/yellow for me right now, and I wear mine like an under eye powder and really anything else that I want brightened. I use my Sheer Pressed Powder everywhere else. I feel like it brightens my skin in the places I want brightened. I bet as it gets cooler and I get more pale I will probably start using it all over a little more often.

I left home for a convention with family [sci-fi/fantasy] friday morning and there were so many msgs since then! I am so happy everybody is getting their goodies and enjoying them. I missed out on a CP chance for BP BU due to phone for internet and sketchy reception but I am not sad at all. I have one on its way and it is pure hype making me feel must have moar moar moar. I compared Beet, Cherry and Redd lip pencils to my NYX lip pencils.

MAC Beet = no match in my stash
NYX Plum is a lot darker than Beet. NYX Burgundy isn't pink enough. NYX Mahogany seems too brown. These are the colors that came somewhat close to Beet, but they're still off.

MAC Cherry = NYX Hot Red comes very close

MAC Redd = no match in my stash
NYX Orange matches in brightness, but it's orange and not red. Keep in mind, NYX Hot Red is my only red NYX lip pencil. I plan to purchase more now that I have more red lipsticks.


P.S. Scarlet Ibis + NYX Orange makes a nice, really bright orange-red lip look.

Thanks for this! I actually own Hot Red. I already had Beet from a time when I had my makeup done which was lucky!

I called UPS on Saturday about the "correct street number needed" on my tracking information and it turns out they had the right street number all along so I don't know what the issue was. They said they'd deliver it today but I just checked and it says they need a correct street number AGAIN. I am so frustrated. I guess I will have to take my lunch break to go pick it up tomorrow. I just want my Pure Zen!!!

thank you =) i think i knew deep down i was going to give it to her...the MAC hoarder in me jut wanted it for myself but i know my friend will treat this like a treasure...mine are all going in my new GD travel bag for safekeeping lol i dont even want to take my items out of the box and put in my my many makeup bags....
