have any ladies who are NC40 or darker ordered the BP? if so, how do you like it?
I am NC40 and I use the BP as a highlight powder. It looks great, but I really buff it into my skin to make sure it doesn't look too light or powdery. I actually wish I would have gotten a BU.

Waiting to receive mine, but what brush do you use to buff it in? I am currently NC35 but should closer to NC30 soon. I really want to make sure that I give it a fair shot before I decide whether or not to keep it.

And I know I've asked this before, but I think it got lost amongst all the restock posts. How are you ladies NC30 and higher using it as an all over powder? What brush/methods are you using? Thanks

I'm close to you NC35 I use my 129 brush put it on like sideways on the brush kinda add more to highlight areas, then add some more to the brush regular on the tip of the brush and put it all over and I love it, no shine!

Thank you for your reply! I will definitely try that out.

And now, I wait! The estimated arrival date for my BP CP was yesterday. I got really excited when I checked "tracking" on the USPS website on Monday and saw that it was already out for delivery! I'm not sure what happened, but after it got sorted, it somehow ended up on a post office 20 mins away

I wasn't annoyed because technically it wasn't scheduled to arrive until yesterday (but I admit I was disappointed because it was supposedly already out for delivery). Imagine my surprise when yesterday came along, the website hadn't been updated and my BP still hadn't arrived?! Cue the annoyance. It's been in my city since Sunday morning. Hurry, USPS! I hope that it'll be there when I get home from work tonight! I'm really excited to try it out.

I can't believe I am still following this thread, but the stories are interesting. I am torn, whether to use the products I got from this collection or save for posterity.

Out of curiosity, did anyone get make up just to save as a collector's items? Did anyone get the whole collection just to look at the prettiness? In part I want 2 of everything, one to hold onto and one to use but another part of me thinks that this should all be enjoyed not kept for collecting.

Ugh I tried on DA last night and the husbandly sort loves it to death. Why, why, why did I hold off on checking it out? I got it from website and still could have picked it up from counter having received them before they were officially released. I did get a bu of CIS on release day cus I loved that one so maybe he won't mind too much?
aww that sucks... I can relate, I hate when I do that... I hope you find one...

My package from Gracie arrived today. I rushed to test the BP - at first I thought it might be a smidge too light but once I buffed it in I loved it. I'm glad I actually ordered a backup even though I've never done that before.

I have a cold so I'll wait to try DA and Showgirl; I don't want to risk contaminating them with sicky eyes or lips. Both look great!

Thanks again, Gracie.

Yay, my BP is here! Thanks again, Yazmin! I am so glad that I have a chance to try this out. After CPing BPs for a couple of people, it'd be ironic if I suddenly wanted it and couldn't find one. Haha, my beauty samples from my canceled Nordstrom order arrived as well. Picked up some primer samples for weekend trips.

I have plans tonight, but can't wait to try this out tomorrow. hwdsprincess already recommended the 129 brush for highlighting and all over application, but what other brushes are my fellow NC35 girls using? I only have one 129 brush and I used it for blush this morning, so I guess I'll be washing it tonight!

I also use my 129 and just put it on the side of the brush and tap it into areas I want highlighted. I use it heavier on the top of my cheekbone, and dab a bit down the center of my nose and the center of my chin and forehead. I am between NC35-40 right now.

I finally tried my Beauty Powder today and I really like it. Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm doing. This is my first time using a beauty powder, so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I used it as an all over face powder. I have the 129 brush, but thought it would be too compact for all over use. I didn't want to look like Ashy Larry. I started using the 187 because I know it's meant to diffuse color. The problem is that I felt the bristles were too long to properly buff out the powder and I felt like I had to keep dipping into the powder too much. I switched to my 182 Buffer Brush and I think it worked very well. It didn't pick up too much powder and I was able to buff everything out very easily.

I only applied the powder to half of my face. I liked what I saw, but I'm not able to explain why I like it. I just do. My skin did look matte and brighter. Maybe even smoother, but it wasn't anything drastic. Looking really close into the mirror, I could see tiny little powder flecks. I asked my friend if he thought one half of my face looks different from the other. He was able to pick out the side with the Beauty Powder and said my skin looked more evened out on that side, but that it was subtle difference. I don't know what I am, but I would guess NC/NW 45-50 if that helps.

I like the Beauty Powder and I'm glad I have it, but I would love to have a version for deeper skin tones. I think I was able to make the powder work, but I have to be really careful with how much I apply since it's so light. I didn't try it as a highlighter, but I think it would work fine for me.

I FINALLY got my Pure Zen! I had to call UPS twice to give them a street number for the package (though it was the same they already had) and finally said on Monday that I would go pick it up from them instead. I worked late on Monday so I didn't actually get to go pick it up and UPS had actually delivered it already despite what my tracking information had said. Go figure, tell them to not deliver the package and they finally do.

UPS didn't have an explanation for the reason it wasn't being delivered except that maybe it was a new driver who couldn't find my address. That would mean my entire apartment complex wasn't receiving packages for a few days.
That was the reason I got too. My regular driver was on vacation, so they had other drivers filling his route. I didn't get my packages delivered for three days straight. The substitute driver kept taking them back to the office.

I didn't do that for this collection, but I did with VV. I am a huge Disney fan and collector, especially Maleficent. Over time thanks mostly to CCOs, I have built up my collection so that I have 1 of almost everything in LE packaging and 2x of many things, one to use and one to save (though I will definitely use my BUs for things like Briar Rose, Heartless, etc. when the time comes). Some things I knew I would rarely, if ever use. For ex., there is very, very little likelihood I will ever use Wrong Spell lipglass more than a couple of times if even that much, but I bought it and a backup from a CCO anyway a few months ago just so I can keep one unopened for my own collecting sake and one opened for actual use if I so choose.

I think MAC appeals to a lot of people who are collector types in other areas. I know beyond the fact that I can actually wear their lipgloss and lipstick (I am super sensitive to smells and tastes when it comes to lip products), the LE aspect is what drew me in to the brand.

I would have only gotten 1 eyeshadow if not for the Marilyn factor (I got all 4), and I wouldn't have gotten the 1 dazzleglass I did if it was plain packaging. I did also think about getting a couple of the nail polishes just to save them (would likely never use them because I have too much polish as it is), but had to draw the line somewhere!
