I am pretty excited about this collection... I dont know if its because of the color story or the packaging...I am a sucker for packaging, especially if its something extra glam

The great thing with Chanel is that they always bring out great, drool worthy shades. I am sure with the new Rouge Allures you'll find one.

I agree. Chanel always brings amazing shades to the table. I'm sure Spanky won't be disappointed w/ the next round.

It took me a couple hours but I read the entire thread and my must have list has changed a couple of times. I must admit I am disappointed in the packaging though it was not what I was expecting.

I am feeling the same way, except I can't say no to the beauty powder or the VP e/s. Luckily I don't think they will sell out *quite* as fast as the lippies and blushers...

I predict that the lippies and the b/p will go first. The e/s will sit there as the price point is rather high. Blushes should sell well too. I'm still not excited about the design, but I can live with it.

I'm not totally put off by the design, but I don't love it either. I don't normally buy products solely for their packaging, and I wouldn't buy them for the packaging's sake if they're products I wasn't already planning to buy in the first place. The price hike just makes it even less appealing when they aren't never-been-seen or exceptional products....i guess if it's an item missed from a previous release, it's preferable to pay a few extra bucks to get it straight from mac rather than a grossly inflated price on evilbay!!!
i would still like to check out the collection in store...provided i can make it there before everything's gone!

I agree! The lipsticks and the Beauty Powder will be the first ones to be sold out first. As for the eyeshadows, I will only get one or two. Even the $22.00 price doesn't live up to my expectations.

I'm already to fight for those lipsticks.
That is my main goal. I want at least three of them. If they had some purple/mauve shades I'd fight even harder. LOL.

This is my avatar at the moment, and I agree that there are much better pics of Marilyn that could have been used. I would have liked to see more iconic pics. I am assuming that the rights to those pics would have cost a lot more $$ and that is why they weren't used.True. I would have preferred a picture along the line of my new avatar though. Much more glamorous and so Marilyn. Or perhaps more like... (is checking some Marilyn avatars here). Sorry, forgot whose avatar this is...
I would have liked to see different pics on the different types of products. I don't mean different poses from the same shoot. For example, I was thinking of a young Norma Jean or beach photo shoot pics on the more natural or nude products and a fully glammed out Marilyn on others (like a red ls or the bp). Plus as many have mentioned before, where are the accessories? Glammed out Marilyn hand mirror? Oh well.
Right now my list is holding strong at the BP and a back up of SI. I like the nude ls as well, but I will probably buy it with regular packaging.
