MAC for Marilyn

Holy crap that's a huge price increase! I'm totally loving the red lipsticks, but maybe I'll just limit myself to one, since I already have Scarlet Ibis.

I bet the beauty powder is over $30, too. Crud! I wanted it + BUs, too! Good thing I'm having a dry spell after By Request

My thoughts exactly! I was pretty shocked when I saw that the eyeshadows are $22 but then I saw that is says they're pressed pigments. I love pigments so that intrigues me.

Pressed Pigments? Where did you see that? What are pressed pigments anyway? Are they like the Armani ETK? Are they large shadows? I thought this collection was a skip for me but now I'm intrigued.

I agree with elegant, peachsuns. You'll be able to get Chanel. The way I figure it, one Chanel lipstick is like two MAC lipsticks. So if you can get MAC lipsticks, you can get Chanel. After my mini Chanel splurge, I'm happy that I still have time to save up for Marilyn. I'm expecting those reds to be beautiful as well.
Thank you, CartoonChic (BTW, I love your user name. LOL)! A girl can dream, right?

If this collection will not eat my wallet, then I might have a chance for Chanel?

It's up in the text at the top describing the collection. If these are the same pressed pigments my MA was raving to me about, they come in a size that's big - like a blush size - and you can use them as a highlighter, as well as a shadow. In fact, he was more crazy about them as face highlighters than eye shadows and said the finish was to die for, like all the beauty of Luna CCB, with the ease and lasting ability of powder products (he's a mega highlight/contour type of makeup artist, too, so I trust his judgement).

Good! I was annoyed because I couldn't get Fire Sign to look like that with either Galaxy Rose or Astral on top and felt a bit of "where's the truth in advertising?" indignation. (indignation didn't last too long, because Fire Sign in gorgeous as it is).

The pressed piggies come out with the F&B collection. The MM e/s should be regular ones (VP finish).

I guess MAC just hopes that we are so keen on Marilyn that we don't mind a $5 price increase. I wonder how much the b/p will cost....

Oh my gosh I love all the lippies except for the Pure Zen. Maybe I'll get the regular edition since it's getting permanent.

I don't know if this has been previously posted, but I saw this on Instagram this morning.
Thank you, katelyn1223! I love the pic of Marilyn there. The lipsticks are gorgeous.

Let's see if I can stick with my original list: one lipstick, one beauty powder, one or two blushes. Too bad eyeshadow costs $22.00 each.

I was a little stumped by the "(VP)" you see listed below, but if you enlarge the photo and read the text in the third paragraph, it reads "Pressed Pigment Eye Shadows". Whatever they are, they aren't the standard eye shadows.

None of the lip products excite me, I hope we'll see swatches of the beauty powder and the e/s soon.
Ugh, the b/p will probably be around 30 Euro, I bet. I know I will be able to keep my list short, the only thing I'm worried about knowing myself, is wanting BUs. But with those prices I just can't do that. Or maybe if I don't like the coral blush much, I can get 2x The Perfect Cheek instead. Plus the b/p and that's hopefully all I'll get! That is if I can talk myself out of the champagne e/s...

Sounds good to me. I can't wait for a ton of pressed piggies.
