It will go well with any eye/lip combination. It is very neutral, not too brown, and slightly more peach than Blushbaby. It is a little more obvious on fair skin than Personal Style from All Races. I have really been into the neutral cheeks and nude lips with lots of color on the eyes, so this is a perfect blush for those occasions. I really like it. I wasn't too impressed when I swatched it on my hand, but on my cheeks, it's really nice. Try it on if you can, because it looks quite boring in the pan. HTH!

Oh Goody!! I'm so glad to get your opinion as I'm a pale NC15. I am also relieved to hear it is more peachy than brown. I can always apply it with a 187 or 188 brush.

Forgot to ask what you thought of Bough Grey. It's been jumping off and back on my list.

I am so excited about this collection.

As others have said I haven't been this excited in quite some time about a collection launch. The Spring Forecast collection totally caught me off guard as I hadn't planned to get a bunch from it, but ended up loving so many items.

I will have to try to control the impulse buyer in me while there though. It's the time of year hubby starts going over accounts and taxes. Silly man thinks I already have too much MAC, AS IF there is such a thing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Shame the weather sucks. It's 12 degrees (celsius!) here and sunny... come on up!

I too made my way to MAC today. But I left with Franky Fresh only!!! I just wasn't feeling any of the other lippies.

My Dillard's was having beauty bonus days, so that was just a cherry on top of the birthday MAC launch present. Here's what I got:

Blue India n/l
Blooming Lovely l/s
Petals & Peacocks l/s
Frankly Fresh l/g
English Accent l/g
Bough Grey e/s
Dame's Desire e/s
Prim & Proper Blush

I also picked up a pack of wipes, Scene e/s, Blitz & Glitz f/l, Rich Ground f/l, and Lash P&P. Since I spent exactly $200, I got $50 back!! 25% off - can't beat that without going to a CCO!

Now my thoughts...Blooming Lovely was a really pretty mauve on my hand, and is just a tad more lavender on my lips, but nothing I can't handle. Lavender Whip was too much, this at least has pink. Plus, topped with English Accent l/g it is soooo pretty! Petals & Peacocks is just the prettiest bright pink with a little bit of sheen to it. English Accent is just a really pretty milky pink with sparkles. I could totally wear this on its own. Frankly Fresh l/g is such a pretty peachy nude...this I have a feeling will be gorgeous over Naked Liner. I agree that Bough Grey isn't super pigmented, but I thought it was really pretty, and I don't mind having that color soft. Dame's Desire is so pretty and pigmented. I actually can't wait to wear it with Bough Grey. I didn't swatch Prim & Proper Blush, but just looking at it I could see it was a winner.

Now I can't wait to play in depth with my goodies!

Yeah, Mac is trying to make money as much as possible these days. I was surprised that it was so thin with only one layer. They could have at least put another layer inside so it doesn't get dirty. But I still love how it looks from the outside and the big flower pull with the 2 different colors on each side. It suites my purposes, but if you intend keeping it as your primary makeup bag and will throwing it around all over the place, this bag is prolly not for you.

Based on your review, you didn't like Bough Grey - I decided to take it off from my list. If you didn't like the texture, then, I wouldn't like it either. I will get Prim & Proper and Shell Pearl for sure.

I, too , saw "Alice in wonderland" yesterday. I was worried that I will be disappointed, but actually it was better than I thought. LOVE Chesire Cat!!

Awww thanks!

Yeah Prim & Proper and Shell Pearl are must haves from this collection. I loved how the chesire cat floated all over the place. hehe

I tracked my packaged and it is coming tomorrow.
My bff asked me to go shopping with her tomorrow and I postponed until Saturday, no offense to her but I have to be home to get Blue India and paint my nails ASAP. You see, I have already shopped

Well, it depends on how your lips/coloring do with pink corals. At first glance it looks like any other peach ls, but it is so pretty in person - very wearable.

I went to MAC this morning to take a look at the new collection and wasn't that impressed with it. The packaging is very cute yes, but the only item I could actually see myself walking away with is the Shell Pearl Beauty Powder - though I could probably dupe it with any light peach blush.

I swatched the lip colours - both lipsticks and lipglass but nothing stood out that much - maybe with the exception of A Different Groove.

Even the eyeshadows were meh....I have too many purples already. If you have Satellite Dreams + Parfait Amour + Black Tulip from SCF Purple Quad - you probably don't need Dame's Desire. Birds & Berries looks like a darker bluer version of Steamy. And even Bough Grey didn't swatch too well on me - its like Bistro, Garcon Grey or even Greystone - some hybrid of the 3.

The only item I liked was the nailpolish - Blue India. It was gorgeous.

Either way, after standing there and swatching for about 5 mins, I got bored and walked away from MAC with absolutely nothing and didn't feel the least bit perplexed about passing stuff up. I'm saving for Art Supplies!

Do you have Gladiola? If you do, will you sheer out the 2 & tell me if they are the same? I swatched P&P I liked it, but forgot to leave it on to compare to Gladiola.

PP hasn't been on my radar so far, but now you are making it sound very interesting. I will have to try this out when we get it.

Lol, I don't have Gladiola. But from what I've seen, P&P seems to have a better texture. It's got a nice sheen to it that Gladiola doesn't have. Erin did a comparison of the two.

Saw this collection this morning. (NC40)

- Tried on Blooming Lovely and it looked like death on me. The cool lavender just didn't look that great on me. The MA even said that it didn't look that good but could possibly work with a plum liner and gloss on top. That sounded like too much work for me, so I skipped it. However, I can actually see it working well for other people! I have alot of olive in my skin.

- Tried on Ever Hip with the matching shade gloss and it was super pretty! I liked it alot. I think this will be a winner for lots of people. Ever Hip didn't look as good by itself on me though.

- Frankly Fresh was really pretty one. Nice staple color!

- Didn't try any of the other lip items on.

- Liked the packaging alot more this time for the lip stuff and and blush. Didn't like the packaging very much for the beauty powders though. That's all personal preference though.
smiles.gif
The bags looked cute but didn't check out the quality at all since someone on here said it sucked. They were behind the counter.

- Bough Grey doesn't have alot of colour payoff, IMHO. B&B was really really pretty! I think it is a must have if you don't have Strike a Pose. Bough Grey...eh. Free to Be didn't have alot of colour payoff either and the light one either. I actually didn't even swatch DD because it wasn't really a color I liked.

- Shell Pearl...I deliberated over this over and over and I passed...for now. Until I get home and swatch my Barbie Pearl Blossom and Refined MSF. I should have just brought them with me!

- Summer Rose is definately alot more velvety and has a better texture than the RR one! I have the RR one at home...love the rose pattern but hate the colour payoff. Get this one if you haven't got the RR one!
smiles.gif

- Dirty Plum was pretty! I tried this one and it was very very similar to Vintage Grape on me because I don't think I want to pile them on. However, if you want to pile it on, Dirty Plum will look more purple while Vintage Grape seems to be more sheer and red brown undertones.

- Prim & Proper. OK, so I didn't hate this one as I did the when I saw it on the pre-order weekend. It is a nice conservative color...not super special at all. If you don't have anything similar, this looks like a nice staple color. Tried this one too, and it does like "nice" on an NC40. It's a shade darker than us.

Hope that helps!
