It may be bc of my complexion. So I sold LW hoping BL would do justice. Sadly, it didn't. BL is more pink and wearable than LW IMHO, it just isn't for me.

Blooming Lovely is definitely the most horrid-looking-on-me lipstick I have ever tried on. For some reason it looks even worse than LW. I LOL'd when I tried it on just now. I love the way it looks in the tube but that's where it ends.

You're right there's something for everyone in this collex
thmbup.gif

I think so. I have gone fairer. I used to be a NC35 and now I am a NC25/30 but I have a lot of olive in my skin so that is why it just looked muddy on me. But it is a beautiful color no doubt! But I am debating whether or not to get Summer Rose, its so beautiful!

Is Shell Pearl anything like Belightful (on the skin)? I have Belightful and I use it as my highlighter. Its my staple but I am not sure about Shell Pearl.

Oh and I will be selling my BNIB Blooming Lovely, bc I hate going back to the counter to return it.

So that makes:
Shell Pearl
Blooming Lovely
Ever Hip
Blue India
Medium bag

Unbelieveable.

Well glad I was able to grab that at least before it sold out. Lol. My mom is a doll and picking me up Blue India and Dame's Desire since she's going to be near a MAC today
yahoo.gif
I was tempted to buy a makeup bag but after hearing about the bad quality, it's a skip now.

Its worse than Gaga on me!

LW made my teeth look sooooo yellow in pics that I cried when I had seen them and I could imagine how horrible it must have looked on me in person! hahaha

So BL is probably no different.

Yeah GMLOL is not pretty, at all.

Ok ladies and gents, I just got back w/ my goodies!
thmbup.gif
I ended up with:
-Blue India np- I was nearly going to skip this, but it was just too pretty to pass up! Very unique color!
-Peachstock l/s- Can't wait to try this with Frankly Fresh l/g! It's more of a brownish nude.
-Ever Hip l/s- Not as much color pay-off as I'd hoped, but I am going to wear PHS l/g over it, so it should work out. Also I tried it over Mouth Off l/l and it makes it very vibrant, similar to Vegas Volt l/s.
-Petals and Peacocks l/s- Gorgeous blue pink
-Blooming Lovely l/s- Darker than I imagined but the mauve in it is perfect!
-English Accents l/g- Pretty milky pink!
-Perennial High Style l/g- Very much reminds me of Sock Hop, but of course more pink. It will be perfect over Ever Hip
-Frankly Fresh l/g- A typical warm neutral l/g
-Prim and Proper blush- I didn't have this on my list, b/c I guess I imagined it to be more frosty. But in real life, it's got the slightest bit of shimmer and I can see me wearing it everyday. Perfect amount of peach, bronze, etc.
-Bough Grey e/s- The green hue to this really sold me. I would've probably passed if it ended up a true grey. I found that it had decent pay off, not as bad as I was imagining, though certainly not an over abundance of color either.

Things I skipped:
-Dirty Plum- Though this was on my list for a while, when I was choosing btwn this and P&P, I felt P&P would get more love from me. I have Vintage Grape and figure it's close enough for now. It also helped a little that when I asked my husband for his opinion, he said "Well DP looks a little more clownish...but I guess that's the look they're going for in that [promo] picture".
lol.gif
So I went for the less clownish of the two.
smiles.gif
But it is a pretty color, and I think WOC will love it more than me.

-Free to Be- OMG. Ok so this has been on my list for months, I never imagined skipping it! But when I swatched it, whoever else said it had a filmy layer on the top was right! The tester was shiny even though it had barely been touched, and it didn't swatch at all- couldn't see it on my skin. I know this is NOT typical of Free to Be, because I've swatched the perm one and it looks GREAT. So I skipped it today but hopefully there will be room for it in my April budget
smiles.gif

-Shell Pearl BP- I can definitely see how this will be a popular shade...unfortunately it just wasn't for me, as I have plenty of MSFs of all textures and this didn't seem too different.

-Summer Rose BP- Swatched well but not well enough. I have plenty of cheek products for now.
ssad.gif

Anyways, I am exhausted from today but when I get around to it I will be posting some swatches

Nothing is sold out in the Canadian website. Us Canadians are slow, lol! I have a feeling things will stay in stock in the CA site for another 3-4 days
greengrin.gif
. I was the first one at my counter to buy anything today and I didn't get there till 12:30.

I was an NC35 when I used to fake bake
nonono.gif
It's a Persian thing unfortunately :/ I stopped going to tanning beds about a year ago and now I'm back to my natural NW25 self. I have fairly neutral undertones so most blushes work on me, but I guess you're right these bushes are a lil muddy so they could clash if u have olive in ur skin.

Btw, would love to see an FOTD from u. I was on the fence with Birds n Berries but I might get convinced to get it, haha

I agree. I love it. I am an NC15 an it looks peach with a rosy undertone. I have asked everyone what color they think my blush is when wearing P&P and their said peach. lol. On me it's not brown or muddy at all.

They are completely different. Belighful has lots of glittery gold sparkles and is way more shiny. Shell Pearl is peachy with very fine gold shimmer and it also has a slight pink undertone. Shell Pearl gives a way more subtle glow. I love them both.

ohmygod. i just wanted to let you all know that i absolutely love peachstock l/s. i was going back and forth between that and frankly fresh l/g but ended up choosing the peachstock because i have been looking for a good neutral-ish everyday l/s because a little concealer can dry out my lips..
sneaky.gif

i ended up just putting live and dye lipglass over it. and it's beautiful... it's a neutral color with a hint of peach and omg. my new favorite mac product.

ill review the other products later, hopefully i'll be able to find my camera to post up some swatches for you all!

Your going to laugh but I got Summer Rose. I blame elegant-one! I hate the one from RR cause it was extremely unpigmented and chalky so I didn't bother touching this one. But I played with it at the store when taking back bough grey and its waaaay more pigmented and smoother. It doesn't look chalky on the skin either, it actually has a very slight sheen and I love the color. hehe

Today I wore Pink opal pigment with dame's desire in the crease and birds and berries in the crease, summer rose on cheeks, lightscapade highlighter, a rose romance l/s. I felt dreamy.

Still on the fence about Shell Pearl (because it would be more of a highlighter for me), Dames Desire e/s, and Birds and Berries e/s (i rarely wear eyeshadow but these are pretty. Gonna convince myself that I dont need it so I dont spend any more money. I purchased way too much from the Spring Forecast Collection).

I ended up caving and purchased Shell Pearl, Dames Desire, Birds and Berries, a backup of Ever Hip, and backups of 3 of the lipglasses (Frankly Fresh, Perennial High Style, and English Accents) this morning. I'm so glad I purchased it this morning from the MAC website because a few of the items are sold out now.

I also went to Macy's and picked up Blooming Lovely but it looked horrible on me. I'm going to try to work with it by pairing it with other lipglasses...but, I may end up returning it.

As far as Frankly Fresh being milky, it's very opaque. Almost like liquid lipstick. I passed and got Boy Bait instead. If you like thicker lipglasses, you should check this one out, but I couldn't get past how opaque it was

Thanks Audrey, I love my Boy Bait. So, I will pass as well. I am not into the thick feeling & coloring on neutral/nude shades. Thanks love!

Yeah, the MA had it on over Ever Hip and it looked all funky. Like it was sitting on top of her lips, and if she were to press her lips together, it would have left a ring around her lips. I don't know, maybe she was wearing too much, but she couldn't seem to get a very even application. That was enough for me to turn the other way.
