Summer Rose
English Accents x 2
Blooming Lovely
Petals & Peacocks - but still waiting on it to arrive
And Bough Grey...since I got talked into it today
greengrin.gif

I LOVE all of it!!!

See, I would think that the lavenders/purples would look good on you - I don't get that it makes the teeth look yellow - that stinks
ssad.gif

They must have to be a certain tone to work, I'm guessing.

I'm done

no, seriously...I'm done

unless I talked into something else

You're so silly

Yeah I have don't have the brightest teeth in the world AND my lips are pigmented. So they are both negatives when it comes to Lavender lippies. However, they do work well on Olive skin. Just not on me. Azalea Blossom looks so gorgeous on my olive skin. That is one positive. Oh well. MORE LOVE FOR THE PINK CLUB!

I'm almost done with this collection. I decided to skip the beauty powders since they will be sitting in my drawer for a long time and not being used. I'll probably get Frankly Fresh l/g and Bough Grey in two weeks since my no-buy starts tomorrow. I gotta start saving up for To The Beach collection.

Which eye-shadow was this? I found the 3 eyeshadows out of this collection very chalky.

I though it looked possessed as well when I first saw it. Now I have grown to appreciate it's creepyness. haha

I finally got to see a new MAC collection right when it came out. Yay!! I felt like a kid at a candy store. Incredibly, the Macy's counter that I went to was sold out of Peachstock, Bough Grey, Dirty Plum, and Blue India by the time that I got there yesterday afternoon. I was a little surprised by some of the sold out items. I guess the girls that live near my counter are unique. I ended up with Birds and Berries, which is very pretty. It was the one thing that I knew I was going to get before I even swatched it. The MA told me that they had received quite a few Birds and Berries to sell, more than they got of any of the other items, which I thought was a little strange. I also purchased Prim and Proper and Shell Pearl after swatching. They were both gorgeous. I was so happy I liked the swatches as I had wanted them already anyways. They just gave me incentive - like I needed it anyways. The lipglasses seemed a little thick to me like they would build up in the lines of my lips, which freaks me out. If anyone has tried them out on their lips, please let me know. I am eyeing frankly fresh, but am worried about how opaque and milky it seemed when I swatched it. I really wanted to love A Different Groove, but I think that it is a little too dark for me as I am NC15. Sadly, Ever Hip was too orange for me. The MA let me swatch the Bough Grey tester, which I am about to order online along with a few (hopefully) last items from SCF. Bough Grey swatched really smooth and pigmented for me. Anyways, I hope that everyone is enjoying their goodies. The packaging is definitely growing on me the more I stare at my new toys. Happy LoL weekend!

I wore Bough Grey today in the crease and outer lid with Ricepaper on the inner lid. I loved it. I had no problem with pigmentation, as I expected. I can see the shimmer better when it's over a primer as a opposed to on the back of my hand.

I also wore Petals and Peacocks. It's very pretty. However, It's not a lipstick I will wear very often. I guess I didn't really need it, but oh well.

Btw, does anyone else find amplifieds drying or is it just me?

I actually find those birds eyes pretty, it's the super sharp beak that scares the shit out of me! Could peck an eye out.

I know, I know. I shouldn't have a bias for button eyes--I love my cat and she has a little bit of crazy eye going on. My dog however BIG OLE BUTTONS~

Omg how creepy! I bet there was some inspiration behind this. Not of MAC of course but of LOL.

I find those birds pretty as well, but I have a soft spot for animals. I see a hawk almost every morning when I'm commuting to school. If I could kidnap him without him clawing my eyes out, I probably would. So pretty and graceful. My boyfriend on the other hand is terrified of birds. I thought he was going to cry when I showed him the packaging. It's really funny actually. Wish I had video of him at Sea World. They have a few flying bird acts in some of their shows. He was terrified. They kept flying over our heads. Poor guy. I guess I shouldn't make fun of him since he buys my MAC, but I just can't help myself.

I am IN LOVE with this collection. It is so PRETTY! The colors, the packaging
drools.gif
It really feels like a *special* MAC collection and I love that.

I ended up getting more than I thought I would when I finally made it to Macy's to check everything out.
I picked up Birds & Berries and Bough Grey e/s...Bough Grey is not quite like anything else that I already have, and Birds & Berries is just so gorgeous. I really want to pair these two colors together. I have Strike a Pose, but like Audrey, I prefer the VP finish to the Starflash finish. Although hearing all this great talk of Dame's Desire and GMLOL makes me want to take another trip back to the counter to get a better look at these two...

This is going to be a silly question, but how does dame's Desire pair with the SCF Purple quad? The quad is really the only purple e/s I have...would these look okay together or how are you guys wearing DD? I'm a little purple shy.
lol.gif

I bought both beauty powders. I was only going to get Shell Pearl, but Summer Rose stole my heart. It is so gorgeously soft and pigmented. I wore this today as a blush and it was the prettiest pink. I haven't tried Shell Pearl yet, but it looks like the perfect highlight shade...I can't wait to try it with Ripe Peach.

I'm not super crazy about the compacts. I don't really like the way the design part is raised.
th_dunno.gif
I love the product, I just wish the top of the compact was smooth.

Prim & Proper also found its way home with me. It looks like it will be a great neutral color. I want to try it as a light contour under the cheekbones.
I really think I'll like this. And I can see it working on a lot of skin tones. Can't wait to play with this one more this weekend.

Now for the lippies....
th_e2cloud9.gif

I am a lipstick girl anyway....but I love all 4 of these.
I did find that I need to use the Elegant patented **Dab & Smoosh** technique for all of them since they are all very creamy and pigmented....I'm used to Lustres and Frosts, so I gotta do some dabbing and smooshing to sheer them out.
th_roll1.gif

I wasn't sure if I could pull off Petals & Peacocks, but it looks gorgeous on. It is vibrant, but wearable. I love the purple undertone to the hot pink. This will be a date night lippie. My hubby loves me in brighter lips, so this one will be fir him.

I am having a bit of a harder time with Blooming Lovely....I wish it had a touch more pink to it, but I'm hoping to play with it a bit more this weekend. I'll try some different lip liners and glosses with it.

Ever Hip is springtime in a lipstick tube. It is just a pretty pop of color. I never really thought I could wear coral lips, but between the SCF ones and Ever Hip, I have changed my mind. And it just makes me happy to look it. So pretty and fresh.

Peachstock. I don't know where Peachstock has been my whole life, but this is my new favorite nude! With a light hand, this gives me the most sexy nude lip. I can't wait to get some of the Art Supplies GPS and do a great smokey eye and Peachstock & Boy Bait lips. mmmm....

Finally, English Accents l/g came home with me. I think part of it is just how pretty it looks in the tube...it is a very pretty cool toned pink. I haven't tried it on my lips yet and I worry it may be a tad too thick and opaque, but I love this sort of color, so I'm hoping I can make it work.
team_pink.gif

AND...the makeup bag is growing on me... a little. I still don't think it is worth $30, necessarily.... but I really do love the patten. It just seems that given the rest of the collection, and how much care went into the packaging design and the printing on the outside of the boxes and inside of the boxes, and the product packaging, the makeup bags sort of feel like an afterthought...the material is just so thin...and they're not lined and....I don't know. It just seems like they could have been better....overall though, I really think this collection is great. It really gets me excited for spring. The collections this year have been so fantastic for the most part...I can't wait to see what summer and fall bring.

I got my haul on the way to work yesterday and didnt leave with a single shadow. My MAC niche is eyeshadows so for me to leave a collection without an eyeshadow is a miracle. However I did swatch Bough Grey and I have a feeling I will be going back for it. I didnt have an issue with pigmentation at all but wanted to wait until I got home to compare it to another color I have already. Now on to the lippies
th_worship.gif
. I snatched up Blooming Lovely l/s, Ever Hip l/s and English Accents l/g. I'm in love with everything I have in my kung death grip. Tomorrow I will be most likely be picking up Frankly Fresh and Perennial High Style. I cant tell you the last time I felt a need to get so many lip products.

LOL at all the bird talk...I used to hate birds and almost have a phobia of them...but after my son was born, his nickname became Birdie (for the way he used to open his mouth looking for food, just like baby birds in a nest) and ever since then, I have fallen in love with all things bird related.
