Kiss-BPs aren't supposed to be pigmented. Since they're also meant to be dusted all over the face, ya really don't want something with too much pigmentation. They're completely diffrent than MSFs for this reason, among others.

I get it but if I just don't see any difference if applied sheerly. I'ts too sheer for a blush and not shimmery enough for that glow that MSF's give. I know you guys speak of a subtle glow but I don't see it. The ones I tried kinda remind me of those cheap blush drugstore powders. Shell pearl looks pretty though but Ill judge it in person. Perhaps Ill dust Alpha girl tomorow and evaluate it again.

I don't really like the packaging, but I still want couple of things from this collection. My list without seeing anything in person:
  • Give me liberty of London - Flat creamy pink (matte)
  • Birds & Berries - Frosted dark green blue (veluxe pearl)
  • Bough grey - Mid-tone blueish grey (satin)
  • Shell pearl - Pale peach with gold pearl
I like that my list is sometimes short!

yes we should get this in april!!!

sometimes its nice to have a more understated sheen of a highlight as opposed to the obvious shimmer of an msf, especially when your eyes are frosty and glittery and you have dazzleglass on your lips. just saying.. my favourite bps were from barbie. i have pearl blossom and pearl sunshine and they get used more than any other bp i have. i have alpha girl too but i use it more like a blush.

if shell pearl is anything like barbie, it should give you a nice sheen, but finer-milled texture than msfs. plus, you can always pack more on.......... to each their own lol if i decide im not gonna skip liberty, i would get it

The ones I have - Summer Rose and Alpha Girl look very matte on me with no sheen at all which is why they kinda remind me the unpigmented cheap blush powders. However, I ll make Alpha Girl work no matter what cause I love the packaging too much. Shell pearl does look like it would provide more of a sheen.

yeah its understandable that youd think it would be a chalky matte mess. but i read somewhere that erine said that shell pearl is like the barbie powders (maybe you havent seen them before?) and they do give a sheen as i do own the barbie ones. the alpha girl from heatherette and summer rose from rose romance are not in the same ball park as the barbie bps so i would at least wait to see it later...because they are seriously not the same

Yep, the BPs with "pearl" in the name are definitely more shimmery than Summer Rose and Alpha Girl. I have Sunsparked Pearl and I use it exclusively for a glowy cheek look. The pearl BPs are not overly sparkly or metallic, as many of the MSFs are, but use too much and you'll look like a disco ball.

yeah the barbie powders were divine. IMO the only good products in Barbie collection. I've got Pearl Blossom and use it quite frequently. If Shell Pearl is anything like that, I will be all over it.

Also, Erine or anyone who might have seen it, does birds and Berries compare to any other dark blue-green shade released previously?

I'll have to see this collection in person first.. the packaging is beautiful. However, I'm on too much of a budget to be sucked in by pretty packaging.. boo

alpha girl is in no way a comparison to shell pearl. alpha girl falls into the same category as the HK BPs, where shell pearl and summer rose fall in with the barbie BPs.

imma say it could be like the PR quad, and DBG pigment.

Same here. I have both the Photo Realism quad and Deep Blue Green piggie....so it's a skip for me. Now, if anyone knows a dupe for Bough Grey, then I can pass these e/s altogether.....
Erin, thank you for all the help and info. It makes such a difference being able to budget ahead for the upcoming collections!

So is summer rose the same one from rose romance?

I have deep blue green pigment but they look very different on the swatches. DBG shows up almost black on me with blue sheen. I am still picking up birds and berries, it's the item I am most excited about.
