Wow - yacky you guys have been

So, last night dh says, why don't you call Macy's to see if they have the new mac collection *snicker* & if they do, we'll go make a day of it! Woot - they did.

The colors were pretty much as I thought & as most of you have already posted.

I Loved Prim & Proper! I don't consider it as much of a peach as I thought it would be. It is kinda like Blushbaby with a hint of peach with what I would call a vintage rose undertone. I thought it was really really pretty.

I wasn't as wild about Shell Pear

it seemed boring to me & looked like too pearly/shimmery chalk for my tastes. I have so many highlight type colors that are similar. But, thats just me.

Summer Rose is a must have - Again for me. Bunny was right, the texture is waay dreamier & smoother than the original 'rose' version. The color is so feminine fabulous!

English Accents is a pretty violet rose as I thought it would be - gorgeous with Summer Rose & all the violet pink colors these days.

Ever Hip is a very pretty yellow pink peach - the same with Perennial!

Bough Grey is really pretty - but I think I may have several similar of the same grey shades.

Blooming Lovely is just gorgeous! I didn't feel that it was similar to shades I already have. loved it.

Elegant that is awesome that you got to see the collection today! I am glad to hear that you liked Blooming Lovely Momma Spy. Now I know for sure that it will stay on my list.

Yes - I was so excited to see it!

I thought the eyeshadows were pretty, but nothing that I felt I hadn't seen before. But that is just my opinion. The teal blue is really pretty.

Thank you Shontay about your eview! I'm going to get Blooming Lovely l/s, Frankly Fresh, Shell Pearl, Birds & Berries, Bough Grey and Prim & Proper. Now I'm going to stick to my list this time and not alter it anymore!

Surprisingly, my list has stayed fairly consistent. (Unlike SCF, haha! I bought way too much, but it was an great collection for a MAC newbie like myself.)

For sures:
Birds & Berries e/s
Shell Pearl b/p
Prim & Proper blush

Maybes:
Bough Grey e/s
Frankly Fresh l/g

I have only two gray eyeshadow (MAC's Scene and Urban Decay's Gunmetal), so I'm waffling on Bough Grey. Maybe I would just be better off looking at the permanent gray shadows?

And I'm only considering Frankly Fresh because I desperately want a lip product in the special packaging.

Or maybe I'll get A Different Groove; I don't have anything like it....

I saw this collection at the Pro store in Toronto yesterday. They were already sold out of Shell Pearl and the large makeup bag, and there was only one small one left!

I only ended up picking up Prim and Proper (sending the bf to pick up Shell Pearl at MAC back home this week). The lipsticks and glosses were beautiful but I have so many lip products and I don't wear them that often.
I didn't really find they eyeshadows to be that spectacular. There wasn't anything there that couldn't be duped in the perm line or in another brand!

That being said, the packaging is super cute!

Edited to add: The texture of summer rose is 100000x better than the Rose Romance version. Would have loved to get it but I have the other version and I have a no duplicates rule for myself! (It's the only way to control myself!)

I can't think of names right now - so burnt out

. Some are Bobbi Brown - which won't be any cheaper & not the special packaging.

Bough Grey is not exactly like any of the other mac shadows, but not overly unique. Its a light steely blue grey -grey, sometimes having a greenish cast depending on the lighting.

Elegant, so glad you got to see the collection today. Happy to hear that you love Prim and Proper. I will have to take a close look at Shell Pearl. If you don't like it, that kind of worries me. Did you happen to swatch the light pink e/s? Did it have decent payoff. And dang it, all of this talk of Summer Rose. I am gonna cave. I know it.

That's great! I went in for just a foundation pump on Friday and walked out with more than that. I can never manage to just get one thing!
