Not odd, it's just strong and not a pleasing kind of scent that you'd want to smell. It's like with Mac lipsticks, I almost want to eat them b/c the vanilla scent is so pleasing. You know, like when you smell a great meal cooking? The Chanel lippie you'd much rather have as a perfume than something to eat. If that makes sense.

It will be gorgeous on you. It will take less product for it to show up on you than it did for me. It's so damn pretty.

Here's what I got:
Birds n Berries-I love this shadow, gorgeous deep teal, and it's a vp so it's perfect!I was going to get Free To Be,but the texture was awful, bad payoff.
Blooming Lovely-gorgeous,my favorite thing from this collection
drools.gif

Ever Hip-pinky coral,couldn't resist!Very pigmented for me.
English Accents-hey,it's a pink lipglass, couldn't pass it up
greengrin.gif

Blue India -dusty midnight blue,amzing!
Shell Pearl-I love it,and i have never had this one before.

So also Summer Rose is more pigmented this time, but I didn't get it because I have the one from Rose Romance.
This collection is sooo pretty

I thought you would love Fashion Scoop

I didn't put it on my cheeks, but I love the barely there, fine shimmer. I am looking forward to using this as an all over shimmer wash on my eyes for days that I am doing a minimal makeup look. Since you have alot of highlighters already, I can see why you are passing on it though. I sold all of my MSFs apart from Porcelain Pink and New Vegas, because the shimmer was just too heavy for me, but SP looks to be just what I have been looking for. I think it will be a multipurpose product for me. Oh, and you were right on the money with Fashion Scoop. I love it!

Now see, I just got FTB in pan form from the website, and mine is quite powdery with great payoff and blendability. I am quite impressed with it.

I am so jealous that you got your stuff already! How did you manage that?

Audrey,i don't know if it was a bad batch or what, there was this weird glaze over it,and the MA just took out it out of the box for a tester
thmbdn.gif
He had to scrape off the top layer, because it literally didn't show up on my hand. After that it was fine, but I don't know,it kinda put me off.I love the color tho.I just wish it had a better finish.
They let me buy stuff early over at my counter,I'm buddies with the manager. She lets some other people buy early too lol.

Definately try it on! It looks much prettier on than in the pan. Same goes for Dirty Plum.

You are so lucky that you can pass on lip stuff. I am a lipstick/gloss junkie. Whenever there is a new collection, I'd rather buy 2 lippies than 1 blush. My sister said I won't be able to use all my lipsticks in my life time.

^^ I will be being ALOT more choosy with lippies from now on. My counter just told me today that no more depots will be accepted, which is usually how I get the lippies I want from the new collections.

I Loved Prim & Proper! I don't consider it as much of a peach as I thought it would be. It is kinda like Blushbaby with a hint of peach with what I would call a vintage rose undertone. I thought it was really really pretty.

Summer Rose is a must have - Again for me. Bunny was right, the texture is waay dreamier & smoother than the original 'rose' version. The color is so feminine fabulous!

That pretty much caps it for me. I was on the fence about these two but now I think I will get them.

Small list for this one:
Birds and Berries e/s
Prim and Proper Blush
Summer Rose bp
A Different Groove l/g

Thats a decent list. Did you get Summer Rose from before? Prim & Proper was the one thing that surprised me - I thought I absolutely would not like it. I hope I like it on me once I get it. I never try anything on when I swatch - only the back of the hand.

No lippies?

You doing ok now dear?

I am being sucked into SR also!
But I'm trying not to spend that on one product, even if I am only getting 2 or 3 glosses.

I thought I had it figured out and written in stone then I looked at a few more swatches. I think I am now "UNSOLD" on A Different Groove and Audrey the Enabler has me second guessing my decision to skip SP.

I don't have Summer Rose from before so I am excited to get it in the special packaging. I am also super excited to get Prim & Proper. I don't have anything like it. I was worried about it being too warm for me but my favorite MUA told me she thought I would love it.

Recovery is slow but constant. I am still struggling with debilitating fatigue and some shortness of breath but the doctor does say that will get better. When I have the energy I just come to Specktra and read all these great posts. It is the best medicine.

What's the texture of Prim and Proper like? I am not a girl who likes to have to work with her blush so I'm hoping it's a nice smooth, blend-able consistency!

Also does anyone know how A Different Groove l/g compares to Liquer l/g from Cult of Cherry? I know the two colors are different but I was wondering in what ways?

I cannot WAIT for this collection! I keep checking the MAC site in hopes it will be up...

It seemed smooth & perfectly pigmented to me.

Elegant,
Karla's swatches of P&P look mighty brown. Would you say it is really that brown or more peach/nude?

Audrey they can't refuse you if you put metal pans in, can they? You can get them cheaply at Stars Makeup Haven, I think Coastal Scents and other places too. If you use Enkore's alcohol method to depot they probably won't even notice you depotted because the pots do not get messed up at all.

I really don't have a blush like P&P. I think the closest is probably Sertao by Nars, but it's less shimmery than Sertao. It's a golden peachy shade. Yeah, I think that's the best way to describe it. It doesn't come out looking dirty on me at all. It's very true to the swatches in the swatch thread. Hope that helps.
