Received my Heatherette Melrose Mood lipstick today...Whoo Hoo!!!

It's a beautiful very Girly Bright Pastel Pink (if that makes sense... nothing sheer or chalky) with lavender undertones. It reminds me of the pink crayon carnation in a crayola crayon box

I tried a bunch of different glosses over it like the new VG SE and it looks amazing. L O V E
I'll try to get some good pics to post

Thank you elegant-one for that!! I was sort of on the fence about Melrose Mood, because I have to be careful with pastel pinks. Now that I know that it has lavenderish undertones, I feel better about passing on it!

You're welcome dear! It is definitely a wow sort of pink. Most would say that they don't see the lavender, but that's what makes it a blue undertoned pink. It is the most actual Pink color lipstick I own from MAC

I don't own snob so I can't compare. It's not like any of the other mac pinks. There is no red, no mauve, no yellow tone...just straight up plain girly vivid pink. It's not a soft pink, but its not dark pink either. I thought it would be similar to the Playboy Bunny lipstick color but it's not. Playboy against this is more rosey pink. I swear its carnation pink from crayola...not kidding.

For an NC42/C4 - of course it depends on your personal preference, but I think it would look HOT!

I'm an NW15 with very pigmented lips so it looks a little brighter on me.

Disco ball meets hot pink...waaaaay cool...I love looking at it sitting with my zillions of boring black tubes...they're so jealous of Heatherette *snicker*

I am so lusting after hollywood nights, melrose mood, style minx and starlet kiss right now, I so hope the UK realise doesn't clash with my trip to amsterdam in april, I'd cry for a week if it sold out while I was away or too broke to buy them.

Are the eyeliners going to be the same colors as the soft sparkle eyeliners in the 2007 holiday collection? The swatches look like they might be similiar or even the same.

Yay! Now I for sure know I have to pass on this one. Anything lavender undertone is nuh-uh for me.

With my bronzey-tan NC30 coloring.. it's not going to work. No way.

Go look at the swatch thread I just posted some pretty pics of Melrose Mood. They are all really good as far as color, the last 2 pics are extremely accurate in capturing the true color. Enjoy!!!
