MAC - Heatherette for MAC Discussion

I bought my first green shadow! I normally will only use neutrals (the MA said N Collection had my name on it... and she was right) but Mood Ring in Trio 1 was fascinating me.

I don't use Mood Ring alone, but rather lightly applied over my regular neutrals and I love the added dimension it gives. Now if I can only resist not buying a back up, I'll be fine.

That's totally me! If I do use any color on my eyes, like you, I put it over my neutral base. I do love Budding Lust just dabbed above my pupil in the center of my lid

I have been doing a lot of darker black/blue/grey smokey eye lately though - hubby loves it

since i got my package last night, i've only tried out fleshpot with bonus beat, and lollipop loving with sock hop. i don't like how fleshpot looked on me, but i'm gonna give it another shot when i get home from school. i like bonus beat on its own though, and i LOVE lollipop loving with sock hop. it looks soo pretty

i'm gonna have to try out the rest when i get home.

Fleshpot is definitely a tricky color to use. You really can't use that one in a heavy application. Since my lips are really pigmented, i just dab some of the fleshpot onto my lips with my finger then whatever color I apply on top really stands out. Someone said it was gorgeous with bonus beat, so I can't wait to get mine to try it out.

Amanda Lepore, Jenna Jameson, Kabuki (who is responsible for a TON of MAC visuals by the way - A Muse, Untamed, Moonbathe, C Shock, the list goes on), and the rest of the people featured are Heatherette. It's about something wild, it's the Club Kid culture. It's crazy.

I wasnt really looking for shimmer...i was just trying to see if it was gonna do anything to my skin at all. I have light flush and warmed, and i just thought this BP was going to do....something. it didnt do anything. i dont want it.

just to keep everyone updated, im ordering backups of LL, maybe bonus beat, and sock hop. ahem. and that will finish my heatherette haul. im so ashamed of myself...

that video is so gay lmao.

This has been a bank breaking collection for sure. I knew I would want alot of it but I didn't know how much until I actually saw it. And I am surprised that what I thought I would love before the collection released changed after release. Which brings me to an observation...

As MAC addicts on this board we have all (or most of us anyway) fallen in love with Trio #1 and the beautiful Mood Ring. I NEVER wear greens/teals/blues and just knew that Trio #2 was the one for me as I always wear pinks and purples. Imagine my surprise when #1 turned out to be my favorite. After reading all the glowing comments here, I mentioned to my fave MAC MA that I was sure it would sell out. He disagreed. Said they had a drawer full of #1 and very little of #2. His theory is that #2 is more "consumer friendly" for the casual MAC buyer (yikes, I didn't even know there were "casual" MAC buyers). Do you all agree?

I feel the same... i originally planned on purchasing no more than what i could get with a gift card and a credit, um.... so i went over by one item (the trio) at first... then I went back to pick up a few more items, and then some more...

Here's the final tally!!!
2 Sock Hops, (and I didn't even want this at first)
2 LL (same as SH, but I just realized corals look great with my olive skin! and that took me almost 2 decades to figure out, lol)
2 Melrose Mood, this l/s is suprisingly great to combine with other colours
1 Hollywood Nights, Style Minx, Bonus Beat and Starlet Kiss
1 Alphra Girl and Trio 1

Oh... and add Patina to that list, I finally caved & thought wth, since I was spending anyway!

Ashamed... a little, excited... VERY! But someone please tell me i don't need a back up of HN!!!

Oh gosh, that was definitely an image I didn't need in my head, whether ever having viewed it or not, but that post makes me chuckle... I'm cringing and laughing at the same time!
