It's ok! The MA chose it for me because it was "the lightest", not according to being NW, which should have been a clue that she was talking rubbish haha!
I think I'm going to check out Soft Sand or Sun Dipped - any thoughts?
You are NW10, right? Then I would go with SD.

And kick that MUA's ass for selling you a product that is obviously not right for you.

Forgot to add: If you have access to a Pro store, check out Apple Red. I have a feeling it might be LE, so once it's gone, it's probably gone for a long time.

I had to scale back to save for Heavenly critters, but I can't believe how Crew keeps going back on the list. I have a half dozen gorgeous pink based highlighters but I think I can't resist the cute morphing stripes. Hope I don't regret skipping the blushes to get this instead!

Well, sometimes mistakes are made. I have been mismatched several times. NW 20 instead of the NC 15 that I am. The MUA's were disctracted by the redness on my cheeks (I went there au natural) and the automatically grabbed NW 20. However, apart from that redness, the borders of my face and my neck are NC 15 (I matched myself right), or Matchmaster 1.0 fits the bill perfectly too.

I have used NoB several times but it does look good on me. I do have yellowish undertones. I can definately imagine that it looks off on NW people. Completely unnatural.

So I went to the MAC counter at Nordstrom last night and they had JUST got in the testers, so I had fun playing with the Hey Sailor stuff as well as the SAs who hadn't seen it yet either. I didn't try out everything, only what I was interested in or considering (Crew, Jaunty, the blushes) and ended up doing a presale for Crew and Jaunty! If I had money coming out of my ears I would have gotten the blushes as well. I can't wait :). Crew seems like a less shimmery dupe of my beloved Chanel Horizon blush, the more the merrier for me...it's such a beautiful glow from within sort of effect. Jaunty seems like a great shade for when I want to brighten only...not do anything fancy. Wish I could have just picked it up last night! But I am glad that I am getting what I want at least.

I'm the exact same as you! I get matched to NW20 all the time as well. I'm glad i found out by using samples that i'm NC15. Now if a MA does my make up i have to tell that i want NC15 on my face, because it matches my neck and chest better. I thought you were also getting Sun Dipped, why did you end up not getting it?

When I went to the US 2 summers ago (I wasn't tanned), I was matched with NW20. I went to Sephora and had a SA/MA match me with a MUFE HD and he said 115. Anyway, sure enough I got back to UK and decided to order NW20. It turned me orange... horribly orange. I actually cried, because I'd ordered online as I couldn't get to a store/counter. They let me send it back, but only because it was one of their MA's who'd matched me. I only guess I'm NC15 as I go off the Temptalia foundation matrix and I'm Bone in Estee Lauder Double Wear.. it says the match is NC15, haha. I'm too scared to order a MAC foundation to try again now. :/

Oh I am getting it allright. Just checked and my package in in Paris now, so that means I will get my stuff on Monday. Sun Dipped and Soft Sand are among the goodies.

Best thing is to always try it on. My luck was that I was gathering foundations for my kit. That way I tried NC 15 and that was a perfect match. If I use NC 15 it matches my neck perfectly (depending on the type of foundation, because the shades can differ a bit too between different formulas). Matchmaster foundation is really good too. I am a 1.0. Perfect match.

That's unfortunately the issue. The closest counter to me is over an hour away by train, which I wouldn't mind but I don't really like the idea of spending the money on a train ticket, going to the counter and then coming back. Lol. For now, I'll have to just wait until the next time I'm near a store/counter. Siiiigh... I spend less money that way too. Haha!

True. Unfortunately it is soooo important to get a perfect match in foundation, you really have to be able to try it on. See if it oxidizes, how your skin reacts to it. Perhaps the next time you order online you can explain the situation and ask for some samples? Or the next time you're at a counter ask for samples and order online later if you find a match.

I think I may do that when I'm next at the counter, ask for some samples. I wouldn't even get an MSFN until I'd been to the counter 'cause I wasn't sure if I needed Light or Light Plus, lol. Turns out I needed Light, haha! I definitely won't risk online though - it's too much money to be wasting unnecessarily when I have counters here I can go to for foundations. If only I could sort the oil on my face... I can't even get my e/s to stop creasing lately. Oh the joys of skin! Lol

Yep, that's the one! I won't be able to compare until I get Crew home with me, but that was the impression I got. It has the same glow from within look and the color seems very similar to me as well. It just doesn't have the shimmer so much but that can be fixed with the right highlighter layered on top. If it's not a dupe it's certainly close enough anyway.

You're so right. Try to be sure it's a good match, unless you're a millionaire.
Oiliness can be difficult. Have you tried Prep and Prime face protect? I am not extremely oily at this moment (anymore), but I find that that absorbs the oil better than oil control lotion. Everybody's skin is different, but in my case that really helps..

I haven't tried that, no. I use the Skin Refined Zone for my ridiculously large pores and I'm trying a Cover FX Matte primer at the moment, it does help a bit but for some reason my skin just isn't happy at the moment. It's over producing and I can't understand why - I'm even moisturising quite a bit at night in hopes it'll help by making my skin realise it doesn't need to produce so much but it's not working. I think the only thing for my eyelids left to try is the NARS primer. I've tried UDPP, TFSI and ELF.. none are working. UDPP used to and then it just stopped one day. I've also heard milk of magnesia helps for oily skin? I dunno. I'm at a loss, lol.

Wow, I wanted to get the Horizon blush but I didn't because of the price, so I'm really happy that Crew is similar to this.

Been catching up on all the chatter and swatches...I think I've been completely swayed to just get the brush (no more face products on my list), and maybe get a couple of eyeshadows and liners instead. I think probably jaunty and handforged would be my choices...maybe barefoot....haven't heard much about the navy shadow...any thoughts? Is it not very exciting compared to the other shadows?
