Interesting! Look forward to hearing how they compare side by side. The Chanel blush is beautiful.Yep, that's the one! I won't be able to compare until I get Crew home with me, but that was the impression I got. It has the same glow from within look and the color seems very similar to me as well. It just doesn't have the shimmer so much but that can be fixed with the right highlighter layered on top. If it's not a dupe it's certainly close enough anyway.
Oops. Too bad. Maybe another time. Thanks anywaysMacarette.... I put angelika on today however!! My hair and skin looked like crap!!! So I didn't take a pic hun sorry!
according to mac-guy the colors in crew starts to switch positions as you use more of the product. so instead of pink being the main color, orange will be and the purple. So it might be similar now but it might maybe start to look different once the colors start to switchYep, that's the one! I find the Nars Pro Prime Eyeshadow Base very good for oily lids! You should give that one a try, you can get a sample from Sephora.I haven't tried that, no. I use the Skin Refined Zone for my ridiculously large pores and I'm trying a Cover FX Matte primer at the moment, it does help a bit but for some reason my skin just isn't happy at the moment. It's over producing and I can't understand why - I'm even moisturising quite a bit at night in hopes it'll help by making my skin realise it doesn't need to produce so much but it's not working. I think the only thing for my eyelids left to try is the NARS primer. I've tried UDPP, TFSI and ELF.. none are working. UDPP used to and then it just stopped one day. I've also heard milk of magnesia helps for oily skin? I dunno. I'm at a loss, lol.
did you apply the seaside oil to your face too, or just body? it looks so pretty in the swatches!the seaside body oil is soooo pretty! i had a good play with it yesterday and even though my work mates told me i looked like a twilight vampire, i shall still be wearing it on my arms and chest this summer and possibly my legs
i also got the brush and am really happy with it. i have washed it and it's very soft, really fluffy and will be perfect for buffing out blushes and such. i don't wear bronzer so that's how i'll be using mine... maybe to apply face powder too
I don't understand how that would work, do some of the other colors disappear or something? I mean just by looking at it, as you use it it would stay the same unless you put your brush on a particular section right? Or does each color have varying depth? So you "use up" one color but the next is deeper???according to mac-guy the colors in crew starts to switch positions as you use more of the product. so instead of pink being the main color, orange will be and the purple. i think if you look back in this thread, mac-guy posted up a pic of his crew, in which he had dug a little trench....might help clarify how it works.I don't understand how that would work, do some of the other colors disappear or something? Do you know about what page? There are so many I don't really want to go through each, I'll just have to take your word for it.i think if you look back in this thread, mac-guy posted up a pic of his crew, in which he had dug a little trench....might help clarify how it works.
hth!
hmmm...not sure what page, but it's theoretically possible to search the thread by username or keyword....i'll give it try...Do you know about what page? There are so many I don't really want to go through each, I'll just have to take your word for it.
hey...i missed this somehow...
Ok I found the pic, not sure I really understand how it works (I stuck a nail in the one I tested at Nordstrom and it didn't seem to change) but we'll just have to see how it works . Maybe when it's more lavendar it will just be a cooler version of Horizon still, since there should still be some pink and orange showing through, not to mention when you use a powder a lot it tends to get thinner in the middle, so it would be a mix rather than an even fade. Should be interesting to see what it does .hmmm...not sure what page, but it's theoretically possible to search the thread by username or keyword....i'll give it try...
i did a search to no avail...but i'm glad you found the pic!Ok I found the pic, not sure I really understand how it works (I stuck a nail in the one I tested at Nordstrom and it didn't seem to change) but we'll just have to see how it works . I actually found it by luck haha, I clicked on some search results that referenced Mac-guy and Crew and then I had looked a few pages surrounding the posts..i did a search to no avail...but i'm glad you found the pic!
it will definitely be interesting...i'm not sure how i feel about a product constantly changing...fun yet there's also an element of complete randomness....!
Yea i was thinking the same thing. I might not know how it would look like once it starts to change colors as long as its not an overspray lol I do wonder how it would look like when the purple color ends up being the main middle color.I actually found it by luck haha, I clicked on some search results that referenced Mac-guy and Crew and then I had looked a few pages surrounding the posts..
Anyway! I feel the same way you do, it kind of stinks when you buy based on a swatch, and it changes after the fact (especially when it's not a features made known by the company), but it's also a fun little gimmick.
I suppose as long as it isn't just an overspray I am happy! I'd be more disappointed if it started out looking like Chanel Horizon blush and ended up just being a sheer highlighter after a while.
