MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion

Well, I can't can't tell you how much I love these blushes. I swore up, down, left & right that I didn't need these and to pass on them, just on the fact that I have a good amount of blushes that I do not touch.
But after Tish was gushing over them, I just had to look. Plus, this girl as never steered me wrong when it comes to something definitely worth looking at or buying.
Anways...my point here being, they are great MB's. If you are new to MAC or the MB's, these are perfect colors and the fact that they are not super shimmery and blah!

I do have to say, CU looks close (not a dupe) to Love Thing. CU has more blue and LT has more red.

Happy to see Specktra up and running! I missed you all.

The site is back up!! I've felt lost w/out you'alls input!! I was gonna join the backup board today, but now I dont have to!

lol, the funny thing is, I think the site being down has saved me a bunch on money!! Cause now I think I need Conjure Up!! Can a fair face NC15 red headed girl wear it???

i'd say you'd be able to wear it fine! just go lightly with your brush and build the colour up. i'm very pale and i can wear lots of pinky blushes!

LMD84 I think that you would look great in Conjure Up. I am NW15 and I wore it today and it gives a great flush.

It is still being a bit slow for me but none the less I am SO happy were back.

Even if the blushes do look incredible and everyone is gushing about the finish...

The MES colors are so ridiculously pretty. Why did they have to go and ruin the pretty by throwing in the tragic glitter? I refuse to give in and get any of these. The glitter will ruin my mood every time I see them!

I got my
Pink Lip bag - Karin was right, the pink ls Dreamy is Beautiful!!! The sweetest pink. Its like a softer baby pink version of Bare Venus. And, the little bag is so so cute! I'm really glad I got this.

I like the Smoky Eye palette - but I swear there is a color in there that is Satin Taupe's twin

Midnight Madness is such a beautiful smoky grey/brown/black color

I liked Total Wow - a slight plum berry based cherry lip stain color.

Utter Fun is bright cherry pink - so I liked a light appl. of it.

Tomorrow my Under Your Spell & Warm Eyes palette will be here.

I love the MES that I bought! The larger gray part is a color that I've been searching for and that glittery part is such a gorgeous color when used wet. When it hits the CCO, I'll probably pick up another.

That few minutes it was up yesterday was such a tease

So I was planning on skipping this collection... then I walked by a counter... saw some thing I like *sigh*

I'm liking a few of the MES and Dazzleglasses so I might pick them up. Damn you MAC, damn you!!!

Katie...or someone who bought Midnight madness MES...can you compare it to Satin taupe...My MA said they felt it was a dupe but I didn;t have time to swatch it......was running late

But the cool eye palette seems to have the almost exact color of the Midnight madness MES in it

The dark teal and brownish swatch under the word Cool eyes are from the Cool Eye Palette...didn;t have time to swatch all of them

Totally different.

Plum Du bois is a warm brown plum where as Conjure Up is a cool blue mauve/plum.

You definitely can tell the difference because yesterday I wore Conjure up and today I have on Plum Du Bois with Superduper on my apples, two totally different looks.

Plum Du bois is so warm, it acts like a bronzer and glows on me, Conjure Up on me is like a serious "you have on blush" type of thing for me but fon pale skin, I think it would totally be gorgeous.

do you have gentle mineral blush hun? it kinda looks like that - which looks lovely and gives me a nice plummy, raspberry glow with golden flecks! and i'm an nw/c15 (no clue if i'm warm or cool!!)

It's the finish and the color for me. I will be getting a back-up of SDN because it is pretty and glowy. It's perfection, it's what I wanted Warm Soul and Nuance would be on my skin if they had actually showed up on my skin.
