MAC - Holiday 09: Magic, Mirth, Mischief (Colour Collection) Discussion

yesterday i went i bought mayhem after all the talk (have decided to skip SDN). i got home, and it was smashed to smitherines in the container! but the store happily exhanged it. i love it. all the MES are so beautiful, they are so smooth, and the glittery cresent is wearable, i just wet the part of the cresent, and use my finger to smoosh it into where i want it, and no big glitter hunks!

I often want a backup of things but then find that down the road I am not using it *as much* as I feared I would be. Leaving me either glad I didn't get a backup (save for other things

) or wondering if I'll ever touch the backups I have

So you have to think of how much you are in love with the product, how versatile it may be, how wearable, and things of that nature. My advice is, if you can, let a few days or so pass before you make up your mind

In the meanwhile, check out as many swatches as possible and perhaps test them both at the store a couple times

I got Midnight Madness today with my lip/piggy sets. Oh my! =o I don't even know if I can describe the colour. Its just a beautiful shimmery medium yet soft brown. It reminds me of my Style Snob, which I wanted a backup of. I'm very happy with this MES and can't WAIT to use it

Except for the fact that the gold part is so big, IMO

The furthest part of it nearly reaches the middle of the pot.

What kind of looks have you all been creating with Midnight Madness?

I used my She Zam twice and it looks so used in the tube already!!

( so if u LOVE She Zam, u shud get tht IMO... maybe someone can say whether Snowscene or anything else is a good duper for it?

Jingle Jangle is gorgeous!!! I hardly use it now since I'm thinking that if I want a backup or not.

I now need Speed Dial l/s to pair it up with Jingle Jangle!!

I actually used it today in a super smoky dramatic eye. I used Satin Taupe on the inner lid MM on the outer and cut the crease w/ a matte black. I've also used it in a daytime smoky look. The grayish brown portion MM is such a gorgeous color that has quickly become one of my favorites....I'll definitely get backups!

I LOVE Surprise Me!!

Another poster and I were chatting about it a bit ago, with the same sort of difference! If I remember correctly, on her it was bright orange (and she didn't care for it), and on me it's a lovely melonish pinky peach...gorgeous, love it. This lipstick is so interesting, definitely one of those you need to try for yourself!

I am hoping for the lovely melonish pinky peach on myself. But funny to see how much some colours can change on people. As soon as I get it I will let you know how it turned out. And I would not mind the orange either, I have a thing for orange

honestly i've not seen anything like she zam before. snowscene is too creamy looking with lots of teal, red and pink glitters....

OMG!!

My husband is a mess producer beyond imagination and his disability to place anything in place is unbelievable, but I knew I married him for some good reason...

Last week I was out of town, with no MAC counter at my reach and the collection arrived on Saturday to the Pro Store that is 10 minutes away from home. With the limited number of items that usually arrive, I was OMG What is a MacAddict to do??

Is there a Mac Fairy who will grant me with at least 3 wishes?

I was immerse in despair thursday night, when my lovely husband call me and between "I did this today" and "I miss you" he asked me: When is the holiday Mac collection arriving finally? Did you called them? I could be your Mac bottled genie, you know. Just email me your wish list and I will go and pick it for you.

I had to cut back my wish list, I didn't want him to scare him. He knows how much I spend on make up every month, but for some reason it makes a deeper impact when he actually pays the bill. This is what I asked for:

1. "Blue Sorcery" MES.
2. "Boy Bait" Creemsheen glass.
3. "Naughty Noir" Eye bag.
4. "Smoke and mirrors" Eye shadow palette.
5. "Devil may dare" Warm Eye shadow palette.

He even phoned me to say he got everything, but I can't describe my happiness and excitement when I arrived home on sunday night and I discovered my black bag on my side of the bed with a sweet note. When I took the things out I discovered "Sorceress" palette!! "I loved the colors and I thought you would too. Besides, it's not like you'd be mad to have one more palette" he said.

OMG!! I love that man! I'm so touched by his treat. He was so sweet!!!

Not that he has never done it before, but this was the first time being married (we got married last april). I'm so in love!

And I'm more because I'm still allowed to go back to MAC Pro and Chanel Make up Studio for more goodies and with my budget intact!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to go, but I'm so touched I don't care if I can't put my hands on anything else (of this collection). I'm so happy!!
