I thought the divine blue was more of a sea green

On me, it looks more like a seafoam green. It leans more green than blue on my complexion, and that's why I like it.

Cartoon Chic, thank you so much for the swatches of the shadows, they are fabulous. I keep trying to think of where to save a little money and am debating the stolen moment shadow. I have the UD Naked 2 palette as well as the Nebula pigment from the Daphne Guinness collection (which I will never ever use up)

I also called Nordstroms to see about the Making Pretty collection. I was told 12/13 and no pre-orders.......so if Mac regular site has them on 12/6, it is going to be madness.

I love purples and lilacs, just wondering about Stylish Merry on NC15 skin, if it will be too red.

The Warm Thunder EDES was still on line at nordstroms and since it was bigger and similar to the Evening Grey, I ordered that. It does have some blue in it, I had to use a light hand to use it as a more silver base.

Still having trouble deciding between Ready To Party and Stylishly Merry, Ready to Party seems like it could possibly be too similar to Beautiful Iris...to anybody who has swatched it, what is your opinion?
I've never swatched Beautiful Iris, so I don't know about that color. But Ready To Party is a light lilac, while Stylishly Merry is a stronger purple shade.

CartoonChic, do you have Satin Taupe? If so, could you compare it to Stolen Moment edes?
Sorry, I don't own Satin Taupe to compare. My eye shadow collection is still in its infancy. I think that's part of the reason why I splurged on the shadows in this collection since the EDES formula gets rave reviews.

I wish I could better compare the shadows for all of you. The only shadows I own so far are MAC and a couple of Wet n Wild palettes. I don't have the Naked palettes and I haven't attempted to do anything with pigments yet. I'm not knowledgeable enough about skin tone differences to say for sure if Stylishly Merry will be too red on you. But on me, it looks like a cooler purple. Round Midnight definitely has a lot of red in it.

Aah too bad! Thanks anyway :) They're definitely great eyeshadows! Stolen Moment looks so damn close to Satin Taupe but so far I haven't seen one comparison swatch..

Hello everyone, new here but I've been lurking. Thanks to everyone for all the swatches. I pre-ordered at my Macys counter on the 6th, so I'm glad I won't have to stalk and miss out like I did with Marilyn lol.

Temptalia just posted some info on the upcoming collections!

Here's some pics of the hanging travel bag. Thought it could help some of you to decide whether to pass or purchase. I'm happy with it.

I put some stuff in it and tried to show how the lace printed side is clear. I'm not sure how well you can see the objects inside because of the shiny plastic surface. The Fluidline pots are in the 1st compartment. The EDES are in the 2nd compartment and the EDSF are in each pocket. Lipsticks and gloss are in the bottom compartment. That 2nd compartment actually continues down behind the pockets, so it's rather large in size. And for those of you who are like me and would want to know, the measurements are roughly 11.5" x 17.5" (not including the hanger tip).

You're the bestest. I think I might skip it still but it does look adorable.

If someone doesn't post swatches before for me, I can trek up to a MAC counter and see if I can compare them for you. I'm curious about Satin Taupe myself since I now think I love taupe shades and I always see it mentioned so often. I'll try to do it this week.

Love the bag but not the $47.50CAN price tag. :(

Expensive as heck though so I'll probably have to remove some things.

I love the aesthetic of the packaging but the colour..... That colour and me don't get along. lol

I didn't use a primer for the swatches. I also used the 215 brush that I purchased specifically for EDES and L'Oreal Infallible shadows. I was not about to ruin them by swatching with my fingers. I like A Natural Flirt a lot better now after swatching with my brush. The peachy sheen is very pretty. I think the tester last night may have been ruined at the event. I'm now thinking about going back for Round Midnight because the tester could've been bad. Tall, Dark & Handsome doesn't have any extra sparkles that I see and it looks more like a charcoal gray than black. I still like it though. I've definitely joined Team Taupe after swatching Stolen Moment.

Thanks for the swatches I feel better about passing on these.

Lol, I feel like I'm forgetting to post about something. From stuff that I remember being mentioned:

  • The EDES pots are the same size as regular eye shadow pots.
  • The EDES are 1.3g/0.04 US OZ. A regular eye shadow is 1.5g/0.05 US OZ.
  • The hanging travel bag is $40.
