I'm so proud of myself for cutting my list for this even more! I'm just trying to buy what I know I'll use not just because it's pretty. And I've got tons of eye products I need to use. Not to mention all the other fab stuff coming out. :happydance: My new list... Outrageously Fun ls (I'm determined to use up another pink lippy before I open this.) Beauty ls Ready to Party edes Little Black Bow fl Mystery ek. The viva glam bag (I make sure I get something viva glam every year) Maybe: -Catch My Eye fl. I'm almost through my Avenue and Dark Envy. But I got Added Goodness waiting to be used, I'm getting lbb from this, and want to get the purple one from the perm line, so I'm not set on it just yet. -Orpheus ek. I have so many pencil liners and use fluidlines way more now. So I'm not too sure about it.

Thanks to all you helpful ladies for the swatches (it was about 5 of you if I remember correctly). Truly helpful because I don't think I'll be able to attend my store's event on the 26th anymore. =/ Because of your service I can finally solidify my list to six items:
Dramatic Encounter L\S
Outrageously Fun L\S
Flight Of Fancy L\G
Small Vanity Blush
WOG EDSF
Superb EDSF

I've been stalking since yesterday but thankfully temptalia posted an online date of the 23rd. Now I can actually sleep late night... for a few more days.

Thanks for your input!!! I never had Stiletto, so this may just be the thing that pushes me over the edge to get it! I look forward to hearing your thoughts after doing comparisons. And 31 days of pink lips does sound like a challenge...I'd probably start itching to pop on a different shade too. But good for you for supporting awareness!!!

Yup - I know I am! Kinda tired of pink but its for a good cause so stay the course!

I doesn't look like an early Pro release anymore....
I wonder if they're altering their approach given the MM fiasco. I don't know if it's just perception and not reality, but it certainly felt like a big chunk of the Pro sales went to eBay. Perhaps this is selfishness on my part, but given that regular MAC customers pay full price for the items and don't get a discount, I think there should be an equal chance of getting products. I have no issue with Pro stores getting the items a week early, but I'd personally like to see collections go online for everyone at the same time.

i think they should keep the early release for pros but just not a week earlier maybe a 3/2 days earlier.

I totally agree with you on that. It's appalling! I think the only way to resolve this would be that current Pro members should be asked to provide proof that they are actually working full-time in the business. This action would certainly make it more difficult for those who received membership benefits but actually do not work in the industry anymore. However, I assume the logistics of this would be too difficult.

My only issue with the late releases on Pro is that the benefits of a Pro membership included the preview/sales before it hit the regular site. This benefit was spotty in the past as there was no set time frame when collections would go up on Pro. As many Pro members do not live close to a Pro store, this was (and hopefully still is) a very useful feature.

I don't think that MAC considers the MM release a fiasco. The hype was bigger than ever, so that's good news for MAC. From a business perspective, they are hitting all the right buttons. As of now, I hardly know anybody who stopped purchasing MAC because of the stressful shopping experience. If anything, people are just more pumped up and develop stalking strategies to get what they want.

Anyway, I'm still hoping for a Pro release soon as I want my BU's. LOL

I'm not working in the beauty industry at the moment and have my cosmetology license. I think im entitled to a discount. I paid alot of money to school for it and i have to pay to upkeep my license.

OK, I am officially pissed off!

Turns out I won't have internet at home for several weeks from Nov 1st onwards and the NL release date for Glamour Daze is the 3rd. No stalking = no getting the stuff I want. Brilliant.

Can you use a mobile device? The costs for pay-as-you-go Internet are not too high anymore. I hope you get your stuff! :)

I just think it's important to have enough for everyone to have a chance to purchase online whether your a PRO/regular customer/whatever country you live in within a reasonable window of time. In this day and age I don't see why there is such a delay based on where you live or what type of customer you are pro or not. We are all paying lots of $$$ to support the company...just my two cents.

This isn't personal, but if you're not working in the industry then I disagree that you're entitled to a discount. You're a customer, no different than me. If you resume working in the industry, I think they should reinstate your status. Otherwise, what you once studied isn't particular relevant, IMO.

My university tuition and professional licenses were costly as well; almost all post-secondary education is. I have to believe that most who study cosmetology or related fields do it because of interest, not because it might eventually lead to Pro discounts. (Some rabid Specktrettes might be the exception).

All of the above is my personal opinion; I realize that others may not agree but I stand by it.

I think by adding items to the regular site and not releasing earlier it is reducing some of the incentive to try to get a pro card. The early release is what drives many people IMO, especially those that put it on ebay. It kills me that people were listing the 184 and Blonde's Gold as some super rare items. I hope this stops that. I still think the pro discount is great for those that are actually working.

My thoughts are that people try to get the membership for the 30-40% discount, not mainly for the early release of products. However, the PRO vultures keep depleting the stock and sell their purchases on eBay against the rules of their membership. I agree with ending the early release option, but keeping the discount in place. The discount is still a huge benefit that makes perfect sense for people working in the industry. MAC is facing a serious problem with PRO members abusing the system and need to adjust their policy to accommodate the situation. There are other makeup companies that offer a professional discount without an early release and the system seems to work just fine. I'm not sure why it would be a problem for MAC to do the same.
